Wasn't that what all the Buggy Whip manufacturers said about gas stations?
No, Sock.
Wasn't that what all the Buggy Whip manufacturers said about gas stations?
Yea the idea of politicizing this issue is completely moronic.
Fuck, even Elon Musk himself stated that when he started Tesla he had no focus at all on environmental issues. His Goal was to make a fun and innovative car to drive.
I’ve personally test drove a Tesla S and a Tesla 3. The S series is a complete blast to drive. It can literally beat a Corvette in a 1/4 drag race. Its handling was also exceptional. The Tesla 3 series is also very fun to drive with good handling and the best part of EV’s is that their total cost to own is significantly lower, over five years, is significantly lower than their internal combustion vehicles Tesla competes with. A Tesla 3 may have a higher cost to purchase as a similar sized car but over five years the total cost to purchase and own are significantly lower.
So anyone making this a political debate are morons with a capital M.
Blatant lie. You are AGAIN failing to consider the higher cost of the car, the higher cost of the maintenance, the waste of energy, the inconvenience, and the similar costs of charging an electric car.No they don’t. They pay a fraction of what it would cost to fuel up an internal gas engine for a similar distance.
Meh. My gasoline car has a range of almost 400 miles on a single fill up.The Tesla three now has a range of nearly 300 miles.
You are AGAIN forgetting the cost of installing a home charger, the higher cost of the car, the higher cost of maintenance, the higher cost of insurance, etc.So when you do the math, using a home charger you would pay about $800 per year for a national mileage average of 13,500 miles. That’s about 75% of the cost to drive a Honda Civic the same annual mileage.
Projection. You are describing yourself again. You are just dismissive of the facts from an engineering, quality, cost and performance because it has an “Environmental Tab” associated with it.
There is no 'environmental industry' other than the Church of Green and the Church of Global Warming. That stems from the fact you know next to nothing, if anything at all about the environmental industry.
Less than 1% of the cars on the road are EVs.I mean all you have to do is look at Tesla’s sales to see that they must be doing something right cause lord knows they are selling a lot of them.
Projection. You are describing yourself again. Your religion is blinding you.I mean the willful ignorance demonstrated here based on political beliefs instead of reality is just hilarious hearing people make these rock solid opinions with an absurd level of absolutely correct when most of you don’t even know what you’re talking about.
Blatant lie. I can fix a gasoline car myself using fairly common tools. EVs require specialized shops effectively making them dealer repair only.EV’s are less costly to maintain and repair
Not cheaper. In addition, EVs are easily damaged to effectively total the car. A single damaged battery basically totals the car due to the extremely high cost of replacing the pack (you can't replace a single battery).because they are simpler in design and have fewer moving parts that wear out.
Projection. You are describing yourself again. It is YOU making political arguments, arguing for the communism of rebates and the fascism of mandates. Now someone can purchase, or not, an EV for whatever reason they prefer but the silly political arguments about their value is just inane and willfully ignorant.
At this point in time that be a big yes.
EV's currently have their place you prefer to own a government car. As battery technology gets better and we get a president and congress that is not a collection of sideshow variants, it will become more viable. Until then, it is a vehicle with its exhaust pipe in a different country.
Hey stupid. That is generally how new technology works.
Do you think we had the roads, and gas stations, etc that were needed to turn the automobile from a novelty item for a few, to something that would replace the horse and buggy when the auto technology was still new its development curve?
YOu are making the same stupid argument, i busted Terry over, that if everything does not exist prior to the new tech, then it should not be developed. That is just stupid and would stop almost every big now advancement man has made.
you need to try and be less stupid.
The communism of rebates and the fascism of mandates is not any good.
Yet you say you do.Nah' I don't know it all.
Yet you say you are not making a political argument.I am just not stupid like you and the rest of the Trumpers.
Too late. Already did.Just look at this thread.
If you want to put up with the higher costs, the inconvenience, and the limitations, that's your choice. The problem is the subsidies (which you have argued for, a political argument) and the mandates (which you have argued for, a political argument).I have to argue EV's have a place, while not perfect for all against people saying EV's have absolutely no place, and cannot compete in the market.
TDS. Political insults. As always Trumpers take what could be a reasonable position to the extremes of stupidity and you jump in to defend them.
Why? Because you are stupid too.
No they don’t. They pay a fraction of what it would cost to fuel up an internal gas engine for a similar distance. The Tesla three now has a range of nearly 300 miles. You are going to be SO PISSED when you learn that oil companies get massive subsidies.
Nope. They are older than gasoline cars. The current battery (Li-ion) was developed 40 years ago.Electric cars are on the bleeding edge of technology!
And always will be.Today they are just a novelty and luxury item for people who are financially comfortable and well off.
Nope. Most folks don't want to waste their money on them and prefer the convenience and range and economy of gasoline cars. But, within a few short years they will be the mainstay for the average driver!
Won't happen. Hydrogen must be manufactured, is difficult to handle, requires even MORE energy than simply charging a car, and have very limited range due to the limitations of compressing hydrogen to only 3000psi.They will also meet their competition as the Blue Hydrogen vehicles come into the market in the next few years.
Not antiques. The latest technology is the gasoline engine. EVs use technology developed 40 years ago.Gasoline vehicles will still be around for a long time, as just about every family will keep one just as an antique and hobby car or motorcycle.
They are also more economical to own and maintain.Men have a fascination for gasoline powered vehicles and that is never going to fully go away!
In ten years, the dollar will likely be devalued so much it will be abandoned. They won't be driving them much though, as in about 10 years gasoline will cost over $10 a gallon!
They aren't. Oil companies do not produce hydrogen.Because all of the Oil companies see the writing on the wall, and are now slowing converting their gasoline manufacturing over to the manufacturing of Blue Hydrogen.
No such decision. It is not a political decision, it is just a business decision!
The Luddite is YOU, Lizard. It is YOU trying to hang onto 40 year old technology as automatically 'better'. Novelty fallacy. Discard of history. That is why I don't understand why people are fighting this or arguing about the world changing.
Void reference fallacy.INSTEAD OF THAT, YOU SHOULD JUST BE READING THE AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINES AND KEEPING UP WITH WHAT THE OIL COMPANIES ARE DOING!
Your case is that ev’s are only practical for commutes?
Chanting. Argument of ignorance fallacy. Argument from randU fallacy. The vast majority of EV owners do not go back to ICEs.
So? I don't have to wait hours to refuel my car. You do.Evs have a range of 250 to 400 miles.
There ARE people that drive more than that every day, and STAY IN THE SAME TOWN!If you are driving more than that every day, you need to move.
Chanting. Blatant lie.Companies are switching to EVs because they are cheaper, more reliable and they save them money in operation and maintenance.
Irrelevant to the truths about EVs.The vast majority of EV owners do not go back to ICEs.
Depends on the number and size of the batteries being used, the weight of the EV, the weather condition, the usage of heating/cooling systems, and other factors. Plus, it takes much longer to refuel.Evs have a range of 250 to 400 miles.
Vehicles are used for purposes other than a short commute or two per day, dude.If you are driving more than that every day, you need to move.
All complete and utter lies.Companies are switching to EVs because they are cheaper, more reliable and they save them money in operation and maintenance.
All those rebates and credits is just communism. Other people are paying for your solar panels.
The warranty does not cover damage to high winds, sandblasting, lightning, damage from nearby trees, etc. It only covers the panels themselves. Everything is lumped into those 'act of God' exceptions.
It also does not cover damage due to bullets or other vandalism, but homeowner's coverage tends to cover you there instead...unless civil war breaks out.
So do you consider these all commutes that an EV is good for?
- Work and back home
- Groceries, Dr office, picking up people at airport, etc, and other typical errands or outings
- Weekend visits to family members who live within a few hours drive
- weekend getaways to destinations within a few hours commute time.
- Rental at airport to get to hotel and touring around the city you are visiting/vacationing
And what exactly would you put on your list of what an EV is not great for: (i'll put the first one)
- Road trip outside major cities
- ?
... *or* you are doubling down on making this political by trying to shame anyone who disagrees with you, which would warrant a big BidenPresident-type "Fuck You" (except without the uppercase letters because he doesn't know what those are).
So let's see which angle you are taking. Hmmmmm. Wait a minute! Look who's going full political:
EVs cost more all around, so back up your statement ... or Fuck You, moron. Oh wait, you said that that is with a capital "M" so ... Fuck You, Moron. Stop making this so political.

The only surgery Sybil does is digging into his pants.Dude…this isn’t rocket surgery. Google “Edmunds cost to own Tesla Three.”.
