Couple Fatally Shot While Sitting in Car with One-Year-Old in Gun-Controlled Californ

Gun lovers do not think well. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours lots of people shot the last few days. Most of them open gun border states.

interesting list.....stopped and looked at the first one in Michigan......suspect resisting arrest after being identified as the guy who set fire to state police vehicles in a parking lot.......was wounded by police.......do you suggest we should remove guns from ALL police officers or just the MSP......

revise your list to exclude all incidents involving law enforcement and tell us what's left.......

I was in my teens in the 70's. I could go to any gun shop and get a gun on the spot. No background check, no waiting period.
I bought a Remmington 700 (rifle) when I was 17, and a Ruger Blackhawk (revolver) when I was 20 from reputable gun shops,
no background check, no waiting period, no bullshit. So yes, they were far easier to obtain than they are today.

Nope, you didn't. And I've said that a dozen times, despite us leaving our guns in our cars in the HS parking lot without a whimper from anyone.
What are you people teaching millennials today? Apparently, it's not what we were taught, we didn't go shooting our classmates. What changed?

So, you cannot dispute those facts I presented. Period.

The only "fact" you presented was some anecdotal bullshit.

Our culture has changed for the worse and become more coarse and violent, because people have become desensitized through what passes for entertainment nowadays.

IOW... TV, movies and video games.

Add to that the UNPRECEDENTED availability (number) of guns and this is what we get.

Forty thousand gun deaths per year.

And then here you come along and try to claim that because your poor, inconvenienced little self has to fill out a form and wait a couple of days for a gun purchased from a legitimate dealer, that somehow makes guns more "difficult" to obtain.

Here's something to wrap your precious little head around.... with the insane number of guns floating around today and any half-witted jackass who wants one or two or more owning them, they are also being stolen by criminals from the homes and cars of lazy idiots (aka "law-abiding gun owners") who are too stupid and irresponsible to keep them securely locked up, then get sold on the street for pennies on the dollar or traded for drugs, eventually being used in violent crimes.

So all your crying and diaper shitting about how much harder getting guns is because of having to do paperwork, goes out the window.

another bit of delusion you must believe is that since you actually believe everyday gun owners are responsible for most of the gun violence, where reality is that if everyday gun owners were actually the problem, you would REALLY know about it, given the 90 million everyday gun owners across the nation

The "facts" I presented were just that, FACTS. Deal with it and change your diaper.

BTW, I haven't had to fill out any forms, those two mentioned firearms were the last guns I bought from a gun shop, the rest I got from private citizens, except the 2 M-1s I bought from the Army.

If you can't prove it then it's not a fact, RedneckBoy.

So then you're admitting that what you said before about how in the 70's it was easier than it is now to buy a gun, was just more of your usual bullshit?

Got it.

Allrighty then, Mr. Prodigy. You know more about my youth and how much easier (harder?) it was for me to get a gun than I do. Go bullshit someone else, it doesn't fly with me.

Nomad is a nutter.

I had a .410 at age 12 and a 20 gauge at 14 and a 12 gauge at 16.

No one shot anyone and we brought our new guns to school in our trucks and cars.

I am not on anyone's case here. I'm in the middle of the the gun disputes, as I have guns, believe in the 2nd amendment as I UNDERSTAND IT, and I also believe in sensible gun laws.

But, I have a question concerning the guns that you bought from other private citizens!

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE GUNS YOU BOUGHT WERE NOT INVOLVED IN A CRIME SOMEWHERE, OR WERE STOLEN MERCHANDISE REPORTED TO THE POLICE AND THE SERIAL NUMBERS ARE ON A LIST OF STOLEN ITEMS THEY ARE LOOKING FOR?

It is just a question! I am not insinuating anything here, just asking an intelligent question!

So please don't go off the deep end just because I asked!

Interesting (your link). I notice several things about it, first the oddities:

1. Suicides are included.
2. Incidents where a gun was present but not used in a shooting, such as one listed for Phoenix where a teen had a gun in his pack at school.

Then a few observations:

90%+ happen in cities, most in larger cities. There are very few listed that occur anywhere else or in rural areas.
Lots of Blacks are involved.
Most of the shootings are in the commission of some other crime.

I also disagree with your comment that most of the incidents occur in "open gun border states." I counted the current nine page list on the site. There's 14 incidents per page for 126 incidents listed. Of those, 74 occurred in blue gun control states like Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, or California, among others. That's 59% occurring in Democrat controlled, high gun control states.

It clearly isn't legal gun ownership that's an issue. It's a matter of criminal activity, urbanization, and make up of the population ethnically that are clear primary drivers of the gun problem. Of course, all that is horribly politically incorrect for the Left and Democrats so they ignore it and lie that it's a lack of gun control laws causing the problem. And, that clearly is a lie. Massive gun control isn't solving anything. It's letting criminals roam free, lack of profiling to try and maximize law enforcement to catch criminals, and the nature of large urban areas that are causing virtually all of the firearms issues today.

Well, first you claimed that, contrary to what I said, it's gotten harder to obtain a gun since the 70's because of paperwork, background checks and waiting periods.

Then you claimed that the last few guns you've obtained didn't involve any of that.

So you admitted that what I said about the else of obtaining guns nowadays was true.

Thanks.

So what.

Every other kid I knew had guns.

Nobody brought them to school openly.

But more importantly is the fact that...

1) there weren't anywhere near as many guns back then, which in itself made them harder to obtain from non-retail sources. And...

2) we didn't live in such a violent society as we do today.

It's a different world today and a different approach to gun ownership is required in order to end this insane murder orgy that we are witnessing.

Too bad the red half of society is comprised of ignorant rednecks, too insecure about their manhood to give up their surrogate penises.

No amount of guns will ever make men out of dickless Trumper pansy asses.

Because I grew up and shot competitions with those I got my guns from. Same goes for those I sold guns to, being mostly relatives and close friends.
I was/am very careful who I deal with. I just sold my M1-A to my cousin who is a retired Phila. cop who moved back here. If I sell any more, I'll probably
go through a licensed gun dealer by putting them in his shop so he can take care of any paperwork...but I'll be keeping them for the time being.

Let me tell you something you deranged RACIST IDIOT!

Unless you are going to post every shooting incident across the country here every day, your cherry picked stories of shooting crimes committed by Black people only, are USELESS, Asinine, AND CONSIDERED BIASED AND RACIST!

Do you say the same about Evince ONLY posting stories about Republican wrong doings and NOT ONE about any Democrat wrong doings? YES or NO? If not that makes you a hypocrite.

You are dense. Not to mention ignorant. Everything I stated is a FACT you cannot refute.

It isn't surprising you have to make gun ownership sexual since you are perverted.
Tell us, why has this country turned so violent when it wasn't when we were kids?
Could it be all the pissing & crying by "animal rights" freaks cancelling hunter safety
courses in schools? Liberals crying about teachers and parents correcting kids?

What Democrats wrong doings are you referring to? Perhaps I did!

You seem to assume a lot!

Here,...I'll make it easy for you. Do you right here and now publicly condemn Evince for ONLY posting articles that cast republicans in a bad light but NEVER doing the same that show misdeeds by Democrats? Yes or no...simple question. If you do not you are a hypocrite,...BIG TIME. Or do you believe that NO Democrat ANYWHERE has ever done anything wrong?

I 'm thinking you and I may not ever agree on what misdeeds you are accusing the Democrats of!

Since you blame them for everything!

I'm also thinking that Evince and you may not ever agree of the things you allege about Democrats either!

Now, if you can give me some specifics about Democrats misdeeds, or even give me a sample of what post made by Evince that I should disagree with her on, and then we can discuss what I think about them on an individual basis!

What makes you think that I read all of Evince's posts- OR ANYONE'S EVERY POST HERE IN THIS FORUM?

Do you?

Hypocrisy isn't even remotely related to this subject.

If our members do misdeeds, we Democrats need to recognize the fact
and make whatever internal adjustments that we should.

We don't need to be the people pointing them out.

What the fuck kind of world do YOU live in, Stoner?

I think that those "fallen angels" have been fucking with you.
