Gun lovers do not think well.
https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours lots of people shot the last few days. Most of them open gun border states.
Interesting (your link). I notice several things about it, first the oddities:
1. Suicides are included.
2. Incidents where a gun was present but not used in a shooting, such as one listed for Phoenix where a teen had a gun in his pack at school.
Then a few observations:
90%+ happen in cities, most in larger cities. There are very few listed that occur anywhere else or in rural areas.
Lots of Blacks are involved.
Most of the shootings are in the commission of some other crime.
I also disagree with your comment that most of the incidents occur in "open gun border states." I counted the current nine page list on the site. There's 14 incidents per page for 126 incidents listed. Of those, 74 occurred in blue gun control states like Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, or California, among others. That's 59% occurring in Democrat controlled, high gun control states.
It clearly isn't legal gun ownership that's an issue. It's a matter of criminal activity, urbanization, and make up of the population ethnically that are clear primary drivers of the gun problem. Of course, all that is horribly politically incorrect for the Left and Democrats so they ignore it and lie that it's a lack of gun control laws causing the problem. And, that clearly is a lie. Massive gun control isn't solving anything. It's letting criminals roam free, lack of profiling to try and maximize law enforcement to catch criminals, and the nature of large urban areas that are causing virtually all of the firearms issues today.
