So if we increase domestic production, OPEC decreases theirs so that the price per barrel stays where it's at.
We JUST went through this in 2015...had you paid attention then and not shoved your head up your ass, you'd come to the same conclusion I have which is; the only way for the US to achieve energy independence is to nationalize the domestic oil industry and ban exports.
Also, you talk as if We The People control the oil when we don't...multinational corporations control that oil and they owe the US nothing. The only oil We the People control is what is in the strategic reserve. Now, when Biden tapped the strategic reserve, what happened to oil prices? They went down UNTIL OPEC cut production which drove the price right back up.
This happened less than 2 years ago, so there's no excuse for being wrong about it now.
