Newsome thinks legally owning a gun is SIN

So you are endorsing vigilantism? It is the same type thinking that gets a kid shot when they innocently ring the wrong doorbell or pull into a strangers driveway to turn around

Getting the guns off the streets would be a better approach, admittedly not easy, but you can start with access, and as long as any Californian can drive to a neighboring State, purchase a gun on the Internet, or the Iron pipeline is halted, Oakland will continue to resemble Dodge City of lore

(and by the way, nothing on the PAC’s football success? Thought you’d be all over it by now)

"Guns off the streets?"

What a load of fucking horseshit.

You seek to disarm the victim. California lets violent felons walk free. The only thing you want, Arachnid, is to make the law abiding defenseless.

The bottom line is some people want to leave their security to the police. Just remember when you needs the police in seconds they are only minutes away

Recommend they build walls around their house, dig moats, or if they feel that threatened, move

You have to realistically evaluate how real the threat actually is, or, if one actually feels endangered due to sensationalized news coverage. Myself, and I live in a city, not far from a depressing area, if I felt that threatened, I would move rather than think I am protecting myself by buying a gun

Sensationalized news coverage? When people get their car, home etc. broken into (multiple times) it's pretty hard to try to tell them it didn't really happen and it's figment of the media's imagination. What's happening in Oakland, and the reason people feel so unsafe, is backed up by data. That is fully your right to not want to purchase a gun but clearly other people feel differently and as of now, it's still legal to do so. And not everyone has the means to move to a higher priced, lower crime area. When I read these discussions on Facebook I don't know the economic situation of all the people talking but I'm assuming not all these folks can afford to buy $1.5m dollar homes in the suburbs.

So you would sell your home to another person to become a victim.

Legally owned guns can protect the weak from the strong criminal with a club or knife.

You Republiclowns have always supported POLE CATS- and man, quite frankly they STINK!

Next!

Nice dance.

It doesn't change the FACT that you are putting a poll tax in place to suppress and discourage American citizens from exercising civil rights.

This is an ongoing pattern with you democrats.

Wait a minute, frequently heard here from posters as yourself that those people living in the inner cities are the ones who shoot up everything and not the law biding white guy in rural America so now you are saying this is a racist attempt against those people?

The denigration of Black Americans is a Democrat plank. You think what happens in YOUR SEGREGATED cities is funny. DIVERSITY ... yeah, sure :palm:

The majority of Black Americans are law abiding citizens and Christians.

White libs deny them police protection. Then abolish bail and dump the criminals right back in to threaten their neighbors again. And dump your covid infected, illegal foreigners in their neighborhoods who such up limited welfare services.

Those law abiding Black Americans need guns more than ever. Which is why they are buyihng a lot more. You racist POS.

Let's compare owning a gun to owning a dildo or pornography. The latter two are indeed regarded as objects of sin because they are a prerequisite to it. Now you obviously buy a gun thinking you might need to use it thus making it a prerequisite. So yes, a gun is a tool of sin. An at times necessary one but still a tool of sin.

Using a gun is not necessarily a sin.

Vigilantism is the normal result of no or poor police presence in a crime ridden area.
People WILL defend themselves.

As I just noted on the other thread, it is bullshit, tired of the “law biding citizen,””decent people,” nearly every mass shooter was a “law biding citizen,” including Stephen Padock, until the very second they pulled the trigger, it is a bogus argument

And criminals would have a harder time getting guns if we stopped the Iron Pipeline, eliminated private sales, make interstate purchases more stricter, and instituted real gun regulation

It is unconstitutional to ban or limit any weapon (including any gun).
You cannot stop criminals from getting guns.

Everyone was a law abiding citizen at one point in their lives. This law wont impact the people you want to stop, now matter how much you think it will.

This does nothing to stop the "Iron Pipeline" except for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.

It DOES tend to turn law abiding citizens into criminals simply because they get the guns on the black market more.

Not true. Gun lovers buy an arsenal. They suffer gun lust. It seems to be an ego thing. I am a tough guy because I have a gun.

So you're not a tough guy. It shows. You're a weenie ass coward with a bad case of hoplophobia.

And you have no idea how many people near you are carrying a gun right now, and they aren't shooting at you.
