No it's not. That's absurd in the extreme. Is the sky light outside right now where you are? Or has it been in the last several hours? Yeah, that's called the SUN and it exists OUTSIDE OF THE EARTH. Ergo it isn't a closed system.

It's not even "closed" to matter. Meteorites slam into the earth all the time from outside of the earth. And the moon was probably knocked out of the earth as well, so not closed to matter.
