Sure if it so happens we have Volcanic cooling, meteor impacts cooling or nuclear winter and that offsets the CURRENT warming trend we can say 'boy we got lucky that they balances each other out'. But if those things do not happen, then we just have the PROBLEMS of warming, which are substantial.

So most people would say no thanks to your view of saying 'let it happen because IF/WHEN another bad things happens it will all balance out'.
