The healthcare bill is failing because it's not liberal enough.
Don't kid your self. It's not "failing" it has failed. It is deader than Ronald Reagan. The healthcare bill is failing because it's not liberal enough.
It's failing because a majority of people believe things about it that are lies. The people do not oppose the legislation itself, they oppose the Republican strawman that's been erected of it.
Then why the fuck did they elect a Republican in MA?It's failing because a majority of people believe things about it that are lies. The people do not oppose the legislation itself, they oppose the Republican strawman that's been erected of it.

Because he raised the strawman and Democrats did nothing to bash it down and burn it like it deserved.
What Democrats need is a propaganda machine on the level of Republicans.

Among those who do not want this malformation of health care (strongly against) 98% voted for Brown. Of those who do want this malformation of health care (strongly for) 97% voted for Coakley. Even in one of the most liberal states the true message was most of America doesn't want this form of malformation. Start over and do it right. That was the message of Mass.
Now there are areas that we can agree, this is where the focus should move and changes begin.
I'm not blaming it all on Obama but I am holding him responsible. The buck stops at his desk. Never taking responsibility for his own ineptitude was something I despised about W and I sure as hell won't tolerate it from Obama. The Repbulicons dragged their feet... obstructed every inch of the way. Don't blame it all on Obama. The Senate is an important part of our democratic government but since we're no longer a democracy maybe the senate is obsolete. Maybe we should just continue to let the multi-national corporations and Lord Lieberman decide what healthcare Americans deserve.
So what you're telling me is that the people in MA are dumber than a bag full of foreskins? I don't buy that for a minute.Because he raised the strawman and Democrats did nothing to bash it down and burn it like it deserved.

Not particularly. They would know that this is a recipe for suck.Isn't that kind of bullshit, though, since Mass already has something very similar to what was being proposed?
Well you should be thrilled then cause we will get nothing. HC reform is dead, dead, dead. Not particularly. They would know that this is a recipe for suck.
Wow...that ain't the message I got.

I don't believe we'll get nothing. What I think will happen now is we'll get piecemeal changes aimed at stemming the rising tide of costs and once those are in place an extension of medicaid to include those who are struggling and not just the destitute.Well you should be thrilled then cause we will get nothing. HC reform is dead, dead, dead.
It's sour grapes coming from the left. The voters were happy with the medical plan they already have and didn't want to change it.
So what you're telling me is that the people in MA are dumber than a bag full of foreskins? I don't buy that for a minute.
I disagree. You do not "fix" a problem with a small percentage of people not being covered by changing all coverage and making everybody's coverage worse. You don't fix a problem with rising costs by giving out corporate welfare. You don't fix the practice of defensive medicine (cost issue) by ignoring tort reform. So forth.I agree. The basis of the healthcare bill should be a public option. Other than that they can hash out the details but without a public option there should be no bill.
You agree Damocles?
