The point I'm making is that if the state of NY cannot show a monetary loss or illicit gain from Trump's actions they've got nothing. The banks saying they go paid in full pretty much demolishes the state's case completely.
 
For fraud to occur, there has to be a loss on the part of the lender. You can say whatever you want, the bank has a duty to do due diligence, and if the loan is repaid in full, there is no fraud. If you think anything else is the case, you are a retard.

EnGöring was signaling his boss with that ruling that he was throwing the case, as ordered. And no, EnGöring did NOT use the value set by the county assessor - he discarded the legitimate assay in favor of his made up and absurd undervaluation.

Trump's fraud isn't for lying to the bank about the value of a property he is getting a loan to buy for which a bank would do an appraisal.
His fraud is claiming assets he is NOT getting a loan on have a size or value that far exceeds any fair market value. He claims that in order to show the bank he has other assets. It would be fraud for me to claim to a bank that I own 10,000,000 share of Apple when the ask me what my net worth is. It would be fraud to claim the 10,000 shares of Apple I do own are worth $10,000 per share.
It is fraud to claim your 10,000 sq ft home is 30,000 sq ft when providing a value of your assets.
