Segregation now, segregation forever!

Okay, this is getting a little harder but lets press on....

You admit you said this... Do you admit the bolded parts are not true? Remember, "words mean things"!

"there were people in 1864 who thought slaves were equal to whites! Unfortunately, NONE of them were political figures, or able to be political figures, because the overwhelming majority of an ALL WHITE electorate, fundamentally disagreed with them!"

Jarhead, I am done with this debate, and your tone. You can believe I meant or intended whatever you would like to believe, I don't care. I have articulated my points well, I have carefully taken the time to explain everything I have said in great detail, and I have had to deal with the Beavis and Butthead Fan Club all the way through this thread. Frankly, there are more important things happening right now, and this has become boring to me.

I will close by re-posting two paragraphs from my original post:

When we hear Liberals speak today, of political pasts... we often hear "he supported segregation!" As if, 'segregation' were this obscure radical idea some southern rednecks adopted, and wanted to impose on the rest of the free and uninhibited, open-minded people of America! As if some Bubba had said, ya know what'd be a good idear, if we segregated them ni**ers from the whites! To hear liberals speak of it, that is what you would think Segregation were all about! They fail to comprehend that we lived in a completely segregate society! We had lived in it for 100 years! It was the way things were!

Some people like to pretend it was always this way, except for a brief period in the mid 60s, when racist rednecks wanted to segregate society, and the Great Liberals stood with the blacks to defeat them!

I think you and Chicklet have satisfactorily demonstrated the point I made. Now we can discuss WHY you have this warped mindset of history, WHY your mind works the way it does, WHAT are your motivations for your fantasy view? I think it is a mechanism to deal with your own racist guilt. I think you really don't particularly "like" black people, just like you don't particularly like southern people or republican people. Thing is, it's not politically correct to say you don't like black people, so you cling to this false perception of the Great Liberal fighter of black causes. We're supposed to believe your great-great-grandfather was standing beside Joe Rainey, demanding the evil Southern racists give blacks equality in 1875! Because that is what all Liberals have done throughout history... they have fought for civil rights! You have demonstrated you have no concept that people were different in different times. You don't seem to comprehend, in 1875, people didn't have the same viewpoints as people in 1965! In your mental fantasy and justification for your own personal racist views, it becomes important for you to support a distortion of fact. So just pretend people are ignorant of history, and stupid enough to believe Great Liberals like yourself, were standing up for desegregation in 1875!

This thread, like many I present, was a psychological experiment. My subjects behaved predictably, as outlined in my opening post. And no amount of reason or logic seems to have any effect on the behavior of the subjects, they do not respond to my efforts.

I see, so as soon as I start making progress toward illistrating how many untruthfull comments you made in the persuit of justifying your "version" of civil rights history you are "DONE"!

I love it, now that he went down in flames he claims the thread was all simply a "psychological experiment"!

THats more telling than if you had answered the hard questions!

Dix OWNED, once again!

You've failed to show ANY untruthfulness on my part. I have clarified the technical nitpicking multiple times now, so those details have all been addressed adequately. The opening post lays out a foundational argument, and predicts how liberal pinheads will react, and you were instrumental, along with Chicklet, in demonstrating my prediction in a way I never could have done by myself. I thank you for your participation in the experiment, and your predicted confirmation of my original point. You get an extra cookie today! Yay! :)

1) My great, great grandfather was a slave owner who fought to keep those slaves, I am not proud of that fact, but its true.

2) Ohh, I thought you were done with this thread....

Okay so you admit that on multiple ocasions you made claims about ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS and about how NOONE IN POLITICAL office that were clearly FALSE?

Do you admit that your false statements illistrate your complete lack of understanding about the American Civil Rights Movement and its origins?

Do you admit that your false statements illistrate your complete falure to understand post civil war American history?

Didn't you JUST say you were done with this thread??

Guess that was just another Dixie lie!

But really...we already knew it was coming.

No, actually I said, I am done with this debate. Learn to READ pinhead! That's the biggest problem in this thread, you pinheads don't READ what I post, you "interpret" what I post, and God knows what kind of convoluted shit is rolling around in your empty skull.

Is this still going on?

We have made some progress, Dixie has admitted to many false statements, but he says that has no effect on his point. I merely would like to point out his lack of understanding about American history and the long history of the civil rights movement.

What is that supposed to mean, Jarhead?

I said the debate is over. I made my point, you can't refute my point because you agree with it, and I am not interested in a debate about minutia. If you just want to get the last word in or something, or maybe you think bumping this thread is fun and amusing, I guess that is your problem and not mine.

One reason I enjoy bumpin it so much is how upset it gets you...

But I also really want the general population to see your idiocy illistrated. The typical conservative (purely economic conservatives excepted) is about as ignorant about American history as you.

Your ideas are shit, and they are backed up by shit.

I told you in the very beginning of this thread, that I am WELL aware of how long the civil rights movement has been going on, and I have never denied that SOME people were advocating anti-discrimination since the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation! The fact of the matter (and my point) is, this was not a public consensus, or anywhere near it, for most of our history. Like it or not, live in denial of it or not, that IS THE TRUTH!

That point, you simply can not refute, because history bears out the truth, as ugly as it is. Yes, there have always been people fighting for Civil Rights, but not enough and not politically strong enough or loud enough, otherwise, it would have been realized long ago, and it simply wasn't. That is my point, that is what I have said, and there is nothing "racist" about it, or disrespectful toward a race about it! In fact, trying to nitpick and parse the wording to a point of literal absurdity, is indeed "racist" because it seeks to erode the point made. It seeks to HIDE the truth, not face it... blame it on The South... blame it on Racist Rednecks! Pretend that Liberal Elites weren't ever advocates of slavery or segregation!

:lmao:

MY Idiocy???

Okay, Mr. Desegregation Act of 1875! Mr. Great Liberal South Carolina Black Congressman! Mr. Integration Act of 1875! Yeah, you've really shown people what an idiot I am! LMFAOOOooooooooo!! That was soooo funny!

Good heavens...my apologies!

You said you were done with this debate and yet HERE YOU ARE STILL DEBATING.

You LIED...YET AGAIN.

Do you EVER tell the truth?

I agree with your newly amended point. A group of liberal minded people have existed for a very long time who belived in the equality of black and white Americans. This group grew very slowly until in the 1960's the size hit a breaking point where the ballance was finally tiped and things changed.

These people have existed throught American History and at times prior to the 1960's some of them had some political power, some were elected senators and Congressmen. Prior to the 1960's some legislation was even passed, however it was never really enforced and quickly done away with.

That is the true and honest history of the history of existance of the American Civil Rights movement.

We have finally come to agreement on this issue!

Geesh it took long enough!

There is no "newly amended point" and you can go back and read the original post in the thread, and you'll see the same point has been made consistently by me. You are finally coming around the realization that we agree on history... and that's a good thing, because history doesn't lie. You have backed way off of your initial assertions that our government "outlawed segregation in 1875" (...your exact wording), so it is actually YOUR point of view that has been amended here.

It should make you feel really good that all of your friends even joined in to try and help you out, Chicklet did an outstanding tap dance around your "Desegregation Act" statement, I thought it was very entertaining to watch him spin that, and Zapped has weighed in recently, but he hasn't read the thread, he's just blowing his horn because he can't neg rep me again today. But still... they cared enough about YOU to show up here, and try to help you WIN one over Dixie! You should be honored to have such great buddies!

The USA did outlaw segregation in 1875, this law lasted very briefly but it did pass and was, for a time, the law.

Just because laws against abortion were overturned by the S. Ct. does not mean that for a time abortion was illegal.

I seem to remember you argued that the USA could not have outlawed segregation in 1975 because segregation did not exist at that time, do I remember that correctly?
