Republicans controlled the Senate for the forementioned, Southie. The 1995 Balanced Budget Act was passed in reconciliation. The final vote was 52 to 47. The 2001 Bush Tax Cut was passed in reconciliation. The final vote was 58 to 33. The 2003 Bush Tax Cut was passed in reconciliation. The final vote was 50 to 50, with Dick Cheney casting the tie-breaking vote. The 2005 Deficit Reduction Act was also passed in reconciliation with a 50 to 50 vote and a Cheney intervention. The 2006 Tax Relief Extensions Act was passed in reconciliation. The final vote was 54 to 44. All with GOP controlled Senate.

So for you to say/imply/assert/allude to/insinuate/allege that the Dems have used tactics to pass healthcare reform that the GOP hasn't used is WRONG.

Now, in order to save face, you say, "well, the GOP didn't do it for entitlement programs.

Tax cuts and budget cuts are "entitlements"? Not quite, Libby. What the People pay in taxes is their money, not the government's.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay put so much pressure on Congressman Nick Smith of Michigan that the House Ethics Committee later admonished him for his actions, which came very close to bribery. DeLay also held the vote open for almost three hours in the middle of the night while arms were twisted to get the drug benefit passed. (Votes are normally 15 minutes.)

In the end, DeLay was successful in getting six conservatives to switch their votes from nay to yea and achieve victory; all but 25 House Republicans supported the creation of a vast new entitlement program that will cost taxpayers almost as much as Barack Obama's stimulus package over the next decade: $727 billion in general revenue contributions for the drug benefit versus $787 billion for the stimulus.

READ, stupid, READ.....the Dems in this case didn't get the chance to fully assemble for a full vote....NO ONE DID. The GOP used underhanded methods to avoid reconcilliation or any OTHER voting methods....so much so that Delay got an ethics rap...that was prior to his getting the boot for similar charges.

And as shown in the other information I provided...the GOP used reconcilliation with relish!

True, but with every issue that the neocons lose just makes them more bitter...hence they lash out in EVERY direction in an effort to try and salvage what is an unsalvagable defeat. Just look at Southie and Freedumb.....they're devolving into a personal slam fest, but can't just admit that the GOP got a reverse waterloo on healthcare reform.
