You think it is sane to tell air traffic controllers they do not have to show up to work for 7 months? Really? Do you think it is fair to the taxpayers flying in planes that they still have to pay the air traffic controllers for 7 months that they do not work.

Let's say 100,000 government employees take trump's offer. That is 100,000 people that the US Government has to pay for the rest of the fiscal year, but will not be working. The other employees have to do their job until new people can be hired.

Imagine you are applying for a permit. It would normally be done in a week, but the person who does it no longer works. He still gets paid, but does not work. The people who still work are so overwhelmed with other jobs, they ignore you. They hope to hire someone to replace the person who no longer works, but that could take years.

We went from a week to several years. So much for cutting red tape.

Look for patent and drug approvals to just be left undone.

AUKUS is creating the first time a country without nuclear weapons was getting nuclear submarines. It was going to allow Australia to enforce order on a huge area of ocean. It is a deal that would span almost a hundred years, and will eat up a huge part of the Australian defense budget.

Everyone agreed because Biden is trusted. Now trump is throwing it away because he is not trusted. That is just a fact. No one trusts trump, because he is not a man of his word.
