We already in theory have a ledg (we dont because they refuse to do their jobs)....we need the courts to be courts.

Hasn't the legal system already been corrupted by political weaponization of law without finishing it off with this idea?

Rule of law has to apply to chromosome uniqueness not characters defined by social consensus to be equally applied to all ancestors inhabiting space daily regardless ancestral lineage or generation gap arrived as part of the whole population inhabiting space in this atmosphere daily, here.

They should be elected by other judges every four years. Set a judge to judge a judge.
 
The concept of lifetime appointments is to isolate them from politics. They can do the people's work and interpret the laws according to the Constitution They did not feel the pressure of political parties and the far right. It mostly worked for 2 centuries. The super-wealthy beat the system by following law students and beginning judges closely. The Federalist Society compiled lists for the president to pick from. Then they told Trump to pick the Supremes they wanted. he had no idea if they were qualified. He gave them the presidential power that the Consitution enshrined in the presidency.
