What a shame. That sad trend will continue if ppl like Toxic get their way and use political pressure to pretend that there isn't really a spectrum with kids who need a little extra help.
I accidentally went to a support group for Asberger's ppl. I meant to attend a dementia seminar in that room, but got the date wrong. Saw the conference room filling with attendees and decided to sit in for a little while to see what it was about. Such delightful, bright, and evidentally accomplished people! They were really nice when I admitted to curiosity and lack of knowledge. Mostly it intrigued me because my yoiungest, a real special ed teacher with a Master's, has told me that I appear to be one of them.
