Is corruption in Ukraine a hoax?

Numerous reports are surfacing about large-scale corruption in Ukraine's defense sector during the war—fake weapons factories, overpriced outdated munitions, and even empty boxes sent to the front lines.

Allegedly, billions have been "written off" following missile strikes on facilities that were reported as fully operational but were actually empty.
News outlets claim this scheme was orchestrated under the supervision of President Zelensky’s top aide, Andriy Yermak, and was expanded through military administrations.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian soldiers reportedly suffered due to missing or defective supplies that existed only on paper.

If these claims are true, they raise serious questions about accountability within Ukraine's leadership during wartime.

But what do you think—are these stories credible or part of a disinformation campaign? Has anyone come across reliable evidence or counter-evidence?

If you dont know about the Olympic Class corruption of Ukraine then you dont know anything....the way forward for you is more listening and less talking.

Meh, my Dad and uncles would raid depots and ammo dumps all the time to stock their units; it's common in all militaries, with few line soldiers having any patience waiting on quartermaster corps to deliver supplies during offensives and confusion, common during invasions and mobilizations of all kinds. No news here, just more innuendo and propaganda.

The corruption in Ukraine is quite real. Here's a story on it from Tuesday:

Quoting from its introduction:
**

Whether Ukraine is at war or in peacetime, one thing remains constant: the level of systemic corruption is unimaginable by European standards. In Ukraine, everything has a price—from dodging military service to trafficking in the bodies of fallen soldiers.

In today’s Ukraine, it’s nearly impossible to steer clear of corruption. For those simply trying to survive, participation—willingly or not—is practically mandatory.

It’s no wonder that more informed Ukrainians say their country isn’t a democracy, but a kleptocracy.

In Ukraine, everything costs money. Want something done at a government office? Pay up. Need medical attention? Pay. Want to skip the line? Pay. Even if you’ve already paid for something, you may still have to bribe the official to actually receive it. Some recall that bribes were required even to enter the country.

And if Ukraine was already a kleptocracy, the war has only made things worse. Officials and bureaucrats loot and sell everything that isn’t nailed down. It's no surprise, considering the country’s population has plummeted from 52 million to perhaps 22–25 million. Daily, thousands still try to flee to escape the brutal military conscription raids.

You must pay if you're abducted, pay in order to reach the border, and pay again to get across the barbed wire—into a West that applauds while funding this entire horror show.

In Kyiv, military exemption documents now sell for as much as $50,000. The price tag on freedom is 20 million forints.

Many proudly announce their escape from the cradle of kleptocracy, crossing through barbed wire into Europe. A recent online video showed two men who made it across, while a third was caught. They show the injuries they sustained from the razor wire—but say it was worth it.
Can Ursula von der Leyen, smiling in her blue-and-yellow outfit, imagine the human tragedy people endure to flee the "beloved democracy" she praises? Many Ukrainians would gladly hand her a blue Ukrainian passport and conscription notice. The people of Ukraine aren’t fools—they’re oppressed and sick of Europe’s sugar-coated propaganda.

Yeah, no way your bullshit 'sources' would lie. lol
You haven't shown any evidence that my source isn't solid. All you've done is insult it.
You haven't shown any of your 'evidence' is solid.

You're the one insulting my source. If you have evidence that my source article is mistaken in any way, by all means, present it. Insults is the path of the lazy researcher.

so war isn;t a huge racket then?

So hide under your bed and whine with the deviants and commies about Da Evul Amurkinz and how everybody sucks and nobody should resist evul putzs cuz war is bad n stuff, no reason to keep feral animals from expanding their empires, cuz corruption n evul n bad stuff.

Still waiting on real evidence, not your speshul Hungarian guy working from a bar basement with a pocketful of rubles posting shit on the innernetz. Why not post Putin as a source? lol

Most of the 'libertoon' objections to foreign policy revolve around their own cowardice and making excuses for why they shouldn't have to care about other peoples' rights to self-determination. They think they will save lots of bux, but of course they won't, it will just be more expensive and cost more lives by not shutting down criminals like Putin early on, when they're easily defeated.

The criminals know how to spin it to appeal to these dumbasses, of course, since spoiled burb brats are almost all selfish amoral twats entirely self-absorbed and always looking for excuses not to do anything for anybody else. It's the core of the whole 'libertoon' ideology and their isolationist nonsense. They are just like their fellow left wingers; their policies have the same end results. this is why so many left wing deviants adopt the personas of being 'libertarians n stuff'.

Whether the Ukraine govt is corrupt or not isn't the issue, never was. it's just made up bullshit to destroy resistance to Putin's empire building and give idiots a fake 'issue' to hide behind.

Still waiting on real evidence
As I've said before, you're a lazy researcher. I'm the one who presented an article from a news outlet. News articles are generally considered to be evidence. All you've done is insult said news outlet.

You're just a bad liar. Nobody cares what you think, you're just another shill for Russian empire building. We like laughing at your juvenile bullshit, is all, same with your allies moon and hawkeye.
