You might trust Rasmussen because you have a warm feeling for Republican polls. You might not trust it because it is notoriously bad. It achieved a measure of fame for being the only major poll that on the eve of the 2012 election picked Romney to defeat Obama.

Rasmussen is generally one of the more accurate pollsters, for whatever polling is worth.
People's Pundit also does accurate work, as does Trafalgar and Atlas Intel (generally).
I'd probably rank them as such:
1) People's Pundit
2) Rasmussen & Atlas Intel
3) Trafalgar
very distant 4) Emerson
VERY distant 5) All of the completely fake pollsters, the leftist public opinion manipulators, and etc... (E.g. Nate Silver, ABC, CBS, FOX, Marquette University, YouGov, Marist, Morning Consult, Reuters, Susquehanna, etc).
