Now We Need To Revisit Lt. Michael Byrd

You really should read your own links, Terry. He was in the basement of Congress, not "Hawlin' Ass" to through the mob to join your Orange Messiah in the WH.

"In the widely circulated video aired by the Jan. 6 committee, Hawley was seen running through a Senate hallway and then briskly descending a staircase to the basement, fleeing with other senators and staffers to a secure location as rioters closed in after breaching the Capitol on Jan. 6."
You should have far better awareness of what was happening. Babbitt was on the second floor of the capitol building when she was shot.

Watch that video. Watch the people in the hallway behind Byrd. Watch the officers IN THE CROWD OF PROTESTERS reactions. Byrd had no reason to shoot Babbitt. He's an incompetent moron who acted out of irrational fear and failed completely to do his job.

Not every MAGAt was cowering in the basement, Terry. It's a big fucking building. I'm guessing you were smarter back in the day. Sad.

I believe that Bondi will prosecute the moment she believes she has all her ducks in a row. Perhaps you understand that there is no requirement for Bondi to commence today, or tomorrow, or this week ... there is no rush. Any and all details that might become fatal technicalities will be resolved first. On the other hand, if Bondi arrests James today, the clock begins ticking and Bondi must rush to ensure a conviction.

You can tell that Bondi is doing the right thing by noting that she is taking her sweet time. Besides, I appreciate the idea of making James sweat it out and continue to lose sleep over the matter, a nice appetizer to the procedings.

Let's wait and see. After all, you've been wrong about everything else.

You obviously haven't been paying attention.

Your position is that Bondi will not be able to secure a conviction or even a plea deal. I disagree. We will see. It might take more than a few weeks.
In about three weeks

He was protecting the Congress people. I'd say his chance is pretty good.
You're not a lawyer. Ask me how I know.

There is no such thing as any protection of individuals that somehow legally empowers one to commit summary executions. Protecting a Congressman or protecting a bum on the street, one must still obey all laws.

"Commit summary executions". This is why you cannot be a lawyer.

Watch the video. There are three (3!) officers further down the hallway that aren't doing anything. They're walking around calmly, no guns drawn. In addition, there are somewhere between 3 and 5 police officers mixed in with the crowd at the door. They have weapons and aren't using them. The crowd isn't trying to take their weapons away or assault them.

Byrd acted out of stupidity and panic. He was unqualified for the job he held and did it shittily.

Should be an easy conviction? She should put up or you should shut up!

You're basically arguing for his defense. You realize that, right?
