Trump's cuts to government services is certainly part of the problem, but Texas government also shares part of the blame. Specifically, flood control infrastructure.

I live in a tornado zone but also out in the country. I've been here for over 25 years and have never, ever heard a tornado siren. My guess is because there aren't any out here. LOL

My solution is a tornado shelter in the garage and keeping an eye on my weather radar app when storms are expected. TBH, that's easier than predicting a flash flood since people can be hit by flash floods miles from where thunderstorms are dumping inches of rain.

There are citizens who have been trying to get warning sirens along the Guadalupe. I bet they look at it more seriously now.
