TACO still golfing, 50 dead!

Yes, President Joe Biden visited East Palestine, Ohio,
over a year after the Norfolk Southern train derailment that occurred in February 2023. He visited the town on February 16, 2024.

After it was relatively safe…President Trump will visit the Texas site, when his team won’t be in the way of recovery efforts.

You are a piece of work.

Officials said more than 850 people had been rescued, including some clinging to trees, after a sudden storm dumped up to 15 inches (38 cm) of rain in an area around the Guadalupe River, about 85 miles (140 km) northwest of San Antonio.
How many people died in East Palestine?

Now 50 people are needlessly dead.
Trump's cuts to government services is certainly part of the problem, but Texas government also shares part of the blame. Specifically, flood control infrastructure.

I live in a tornado zone but also out in the country. I've been here for over 25 years and have never, ever heard a tornado siren. My guess is because there aren't any out here. LOL

My solution is a tornado shelter in the garage and keeping an eye on my weather radar app when storms are expected. TBH, that's easier than predicting a flash flood since people can be hit by flash floods miles from where thunderstorms are dumping inches of rain.

There are citizens who have been trying to get warning sirens along the Guadalupe. I bet they look at it more seriously now.
