Could A Good God Permit So Much Suffering?

You are IGNORING the definition of 'rational', which I recently posted.
Word games won't work, IBD.
You are ignoring the definition of "rational" as I have laid it out. You simply get triggered by the idea of your religion being "irrational" and you cease to be able to carry on with the conversation.

but the behavioral impact may indeed be worth inculcating for cooperation purposes.

except some religions highlight exactly the worst parts of religious texts.
Some do at that.

If you look at the various Christian variants, you will find they each highlight one aspect of the gospel while ignoring the rest.

Examples:

Catholics tend to emphasize the ordinance and officious aspects, and tend to mystify plain and simple things. They are the Vogons of the Christian churches.

Lutheranism was borne out of a rejection of this officiousness. It emphasizes the love of Christ and missionary work, but ignores most else.

Baptists of course emphasize the baptism ordinance and missionary work, but ignore most else.

Methodists emphasize the nature of man as sons and daughters of God, but ignore most everything else.

Pentecosts emphasize the miracles of God, and ignore most everything else.

Presbyterians emphasize the royal nature of God and Christ, and love to chase scripture (using the Bible), but ignore most anything else.

a lie or irrationality may be rational to use if it achieves a desired outcome or positive behavioral change.
Something that is rational is never irrational. Something that is irrational is never rational.

episcopalians are in it for the imperialism

and the Amish got it right!

There is a lot of things the Amish got right, but their rejection of modern technology is also a rejection of those inspired by God to bring it to this world. In other words, the Amish are basically stuck in time. Further, then tend to live by the law of the United Order, which most people are not going to accept.

I think tech is reaching a level of overdevelopment to the extent that it's becoming an evil tool of techno-feudalism and tyranny.

that's from Satan.

Technology is not from Satan. It certainly can be perverted for Satan's use like anything else, but it does not come from Satan.

Technology is not tyranny or feudal government.

What do you mean by 'overdevelopment'?

Do you really think the existence of a tractor is a form of government or tyranny?
Tractors, along with their accessories, and similar equipment like combine harvesters, make it possible to feed so many today.

How about the personal computer? When combined with the internet, it has easily democratized knowledge. Of course it has also created another avenue of propaganda and lies to be spread by those wanting to pervert the technology.

Modern electrical interconnects make it possible to generate power from many different sources at once and distribute it evenly to homes and businesses, providing light, heat, and many labor saving devices, from washers and dryers, to manufacturing equipment to produce products for far cheaper with automation than could possibly be done using outdated equipment.

Modern aircraft and other conveyances make it possible to travel anywhere in the world in just a few hours. No longer does it take three months to cross the United States using horses and wagons. Just a couple or three days by car, truck, or rail, a few hours by plane, etc.

The Amish tend to reject all of this technology. They are stuck in time.

I think you had better study the United Order again too. It can by considered quite tyrannical by many Christians today, yet it is what the Amish live by. Sure, they are very community oriented, but there's an iron hand in the velvet glove.

this LEVEL OF OVERDEVELOPMENT and TYRANNICAL DIRECTION is from Satan.

once again you state things so overbroadly that its effectively a strawman.

thanks for playing.

Please jesus.

destroy all the ai demons.

amen.
AI isn't a demon. It's just a type of program. It has it's uses, but it is not God nor a demon.

I see you are afraid of AI. You need not be. This technology is also very beneficial. Like any other, Satan can pervert it for his own uses, but that does not make AI a demon or Satan.

It allows for more efficient access to resources on the internet (browsing), using a better search engine than before. Don't treat it like a mental health counselor, a lawyer, or a doctor of medicine. Don't stake your life on it, since it so often gets things totally wrong. It is, after all, just a search engine. A better one, but a search engine nevertheless.

AI has other uses as well, such as voice recognition, allowing you to speak commands to your computer instead of requiring a keyboard to type them (handy when doing some other task, like driving or counting inventory!). It also has some vision recognition (poor, but getting better). It allows for driver assist, and in some limited cases, self driving vehicles. The driver assist systems make a car not only safer, but reduce the strain of driving for long periods of time.

AI can also help to analyze data, presenting various summaries more quickly. This helps companies more efficiently provide products their customers actually want, rather than guessing at it.

AI is nothing more than a program with a feedback loop in it (usually an automated source) that can fine tune it's behavior. This 'dictionary' matrix is used to guide the program to a more effective decision path. The feedback from that decision path result can be used as an input to feed the loop.

People are naturally scared of what they do not understand or are unfamiliar with. It is, after all, what drives Luddite responses. This sort of thing as been around as long as manufacturing lines.

I understand it.

its not worth it and leads to hell.

the Amish are actually right.

you work for Satan.

Could A Good God Permit So Much Suffering?

The assumption that God is good is the error. God is impartial. He is neither good or bad. Man's errors lead to suffering.

I understand it.
Obviously, you don't. You are afraid of it. You needn't be.
its not worth it and leads to hell.
Yes, there are roads to Hell, MI. You can drive there in your car.
the Amish are actually right.
So go join them and live in a world stuck in the past, if they will have you.
you work for Satan.
He doesn't pay well. I would never work for Satan.

its being used by internationalist fascist Nazis to destroy humanity.

I'm afraid of the people using it and in control of it.

What is the error?
God is impartial.
No, I would say God is quite opinionated. He has made no secret of his opinions concerning Man. He even sacrificed his own begotten Son to save Man from the justice of a debt that Man himself could not pay, and conquered death by doing so.
He is neither good or bad.
To say this is to ignore all that God has done for the benefit of Man.
Man's errors lead to suffering.
True, but Satan also leads Man to suffering.
