When Blue State citizens pay taxes that then the Federal government gives to Red States that is welfare...
If you are against the government taking one persons tax money and using it to deliver social services that help OTHERS and think instead each person needs to stand on their own or die, then why will you not call out Red States in the same way who are getting the benefit of Blue State tax payer money to pay for their State needs?

That is what I’m talking about when I say that generational welfare is alive and well in SE OK. I know families who are 3-4 generations in. We’ll gladly ship them all to your blue states if you want your tax dollars to stay put. There would be less litter around here and fewer cars up on blocks, fewer trashy yards in general, etc. I say it’s a win-win for us.

He acts like it is foundational to his core that welfare recipients should be left to die before getting any government help.
But then when it comes to the MASSIVE welfare Blue States provide Red State and without which Red States would shut down suddenly as they would be able to maintain roads, hospitals, schools, etc, he suddenly loses his voice.

Wouldn't generational poverty factor into this? Especially in areas where the main means to earn a living is gone and nothing replaced it. For example, coal towns.
