If tariffs dont raise prices….

Of course tariffs increase costs to the consumers. Trump has been full of shit since he started claiming they do not...and that the cost increase is not borne by the consumer.

Trump is one of the most stupid of the entire Trump cult...which is made up of the most stupid of the American electorate. Hell of a situation.
Trump never claimed tariffs don't increase prices, Doofan.

My point is it is simply hypocritical based on his earlier claims, that his disciples, gobbled up, and now do not care an inch, or will even admit to themselves, that they fell for it.

They supported Tariffs, in part because they believed him when he said they do not increase prices. Now they support removing tariffs because certain food items have become expensive.

This is the crux of cult politics, which harm Democracy.

If this were a democrat you’d be all over it!
Could not care less about such minor changes in policy even if you are "outraged" at the perceived "hypocrisy". This is such small political chatter that it cannot justify a moment more of my energy, I've wasted enough.

My point is it is simply hypocritical
What hypocrisy?
based on his earlier claims,
You are making claims that Trump never did or said.
that his disciples, gobbled up, and now do not care an inch, or will even admit to themselves, that they fell for it.
Fell for what, Pretender? Tariffs work as a tax system.
They supported Tariffs, in part because they believed him when he said they do not increase prices. Now they support removing tariffs because certain food items have become expensive.
I still support tariffs. They DO increase prices. Trump never said otherwise. The tariffs are not being removed. Tariffs are being reduced on some items that are not manufactured or produced in the U.S.
This is the crux of cult politics, which harm Democracy.
What Democracy? The United States was never a democracy.
If this were a democrat you’d be all over it!
You already chanted this. Repetition fallacy.

I agree. Go back to using TEL. It's a much more effective moderator, and it helps lubricate the engine. It is also not hygroscopic, like ethanol is, meaning less rust in engine, fuel system, and induction components. It also doesn't attack cork gaskets, like ethanol does.

There's only one problem. TEL poisons catalytic converters, and too many places think those things actually help or something.
Worse, Cars today are all FADAC design. Their computers are programmed to account for the back pressure from the catalytic converter. The computer will have to be reprogrammed to handle the additional air flow through the engine if the catalytic converter is removed.

An O2 sensor is still useful as a fuel trim device though.
We don't need tetraethyllead in gasoline either. Back when it was used, it served two primary purposes:

1. It was an octane booster. This got around the slop tolerances in engines to give higher performance. It's not necessary today with modern high-tolerance engines.

2. It was a lubricant for softer materials in the engine like valve seats and stems. It reduced wear on the engine. With modern materials, this is no longer an issue. Modern vehicle engines will easily go 250,000 miles if properly maintained.

Ethanol is added to gasoline as a pollution control measure. It is supposed to reduce pollution output of the engine. It really doesn't do that. It also raises the price of gasoline as it's more expensive to produce than just using straight gasoline. It is also less energy efficient and it's hydroscopic.

Now, there's a huge industry with vested interests in continuing the use of ethanol in gasoline even though it really serves no useful purpose anymore.

Because he is dropping the tariff due to high prices. What is confusing to you in that sentence? It's rather simple and says directly what he is doing. It doesn't change that American beef is superior to Argentinian beef.
Is our coffee superior to others? The tariffs are being reduced there, as well.

That was never the point of that post. I live among, and am, a small producer of beef. I was bragging a bit.

I simply do not care that he's lowering tariffs to reduce prices or that you ghink youve "got him" somehow. This is such tiny political chatter... so small. I don't plan to spend a moment on it... so instead I talk about stuff like the fact we will not give up coffee so using tariffs to "punish" only punishes the consumer...

That's what a moderator is, T.A. Higher octane fuels burn less efficiently. That's the point.

Nope. That involves oil, not fuel.
It's not necessary today with modern high-tolerance engines.
Nope. That involves thinner oil, not fuel. Some modern engines are using 0-20W synthetic. The stuff pours like water.
2. It was a lubricant for softer materials in the engine like valve seats and stems.
It was a lubricant throughout the engine, assisting the purposes of oil.
It reduced wear on the engine.
Due to improved lubrication.
With modern materials, this is no longer an issue.
Aluminum engine blocks are still using steel sleeves and aluminum pistons, just they have since the 50's.
Modern vehicle engines will easily go 250,000 miles if properly maintained.
Thanks to FADAC and better gaskets. Rust still occurs on steel engine components in the fuel system, induction system, and the engine itself due to the hygroscopic nature of ethanol in fuel.
Ethanol is added to gasoline as a pollution control measure.
Nope. Ethanol is a moderator...same as TEL, but with a lot more problems associated with it.
It is supposed to reduce pollution output of the engine.
It doesn't. It can't.
It really doesn't do that. It also raises the price of gasoline as it's more expensive to produce than just using straight gasoline. It is also less energy efficient and it's hydroscopic.
It is slightly less energy efficient to use ethanol instead of TEL.
You cannot use straight gasoline in a car without SERIOUSLY reducing efficiency, and potentially damaging the engine due to detonation.

A fuel moderator is required.

Now, there's a huge industry with vested interests in continuing the use of ethanol in gasoline even though it really serves no useful purpose anymore.
Almost all of it government subsidized and regulated that way.

But in engines, the toxic compound eliminated knock, which was an industry-wide problem at the time. TEL was held up as the protector of valve seats and high-compression engines. Kettering also knew it was a better bet for GM than ethanol, which had similar benefits but couldn’t be patented.

Shit hitting people’s pocketbooks every day is hardly tiny political chatter. And it’s not a “got him”, either.

That miserable fuck tried to convince, and was successful doing so for the gullible cultists, Americans that they would not be paying for the tariffs. Now, the sane among us knew that was as much a lie as Mexico paying for the wall.

So now, to keep prices “affordable”, he drops tariffs and thinks nobody will take him to task for another one of his fucking lies?

This is small chatter, there are far more important topics than a couple tariffs. You should take pride, he realized folks wanted a change and changed... You did this. Pat yourself on the back. Take a bow... do whatever. Seriously, this is so small and we care so little we're even willing to let you take credit.

Why would Trump drop tariffs on Meat and other food to address the increasing cost?
Because somebody in his administration finally sat the moron down and told him the truth. Somebody finally told Trump the lies he's been spewing is now no longer registering with his retard base. His base is finally realizing that having white skin don't pay shit at the supermarket, don't pay bills, don't do a got damn thing but turn lobster red if you stay out in the sun to long without protection. AND STILL PRICES WILL REMAIN INFLATED AMERICA...THIS IS A GREED ISSUE OF WHICH TRUMP HAS ENCOURAGED AND SUPPORTS.

Since the cost of living isn’t denting my quality of life, there are more important topics to me, as well. But that’s not the case with a shit ton of Americans who are struggling to make ends meet.

Bigger issues are slicing and dicing the Constitution, violation of civil and constitutional rights, vindictive and corrupt prosecutions, militarizing law enforcement, sending the military into cities against their will, pardoning insurrectionists, asking our own citizens to spy on each other, detention camps for misdemeanors. That kind of shit.

But, of course, those are just “tiny political chatter” to you.

But in engines, the toxic compound eliminated knock, which was an industry-wide problem at the time.
It still is, however, most FADAC engines have a contact microphone mounted on the engine case. It is used to listen for detonation. The computer backs off settings until detonation clears. The results is lower efficiency, but at least the damage from unmoderated fuel is minimized.
TEL was held up as the protector of valve seats and high-compression engines.
It lubricates the entire engine, assisting the oil in it's job. It works in all engines, doing the same job. Yes, that includes valve stems (particularly the exhaust valve).

Using unmoderated fuel in a car simply results in poor fuel efficiency for those FADAC systems equipped with this sensor and using it.
For those engines without this sensor, detonation can be a real problem, since it can easily destroy pistons, spark plugs, and valves.

Both ethanol and TEL are toxic compounds. So is gasoline.

But you've convinced Trump. Congratulations. He's turned a page. It's all on you. Everyone look here! This guy is a HERO!
