At least Ohio State and Alabama are hated because they’re good. Because Ohio State is anything but an entitled school and by that I mean it ain’t particularly difficult to get into Ohio State.

This is a common myth about Woody. Yea sure Woody could get stubborn in games and would decide to run it down the throats of the opponent doing that. Lost some by doing that too and pryer to the late sixties everyone was playing the I formation or the wishbone which are run dominated.

In the late 60’s Woody led the pack by switching to the T-Formation and playing a more dual threat offense. He consistently lead the Big Ten and most of the nation in passing. He had some very good duel threat QB’s too. Like Rex Kern, Cornelius Greene and Art Schlichter.

So that’s pretty much a myth about Woody. He was conservative but he also stayed current on new innovations and relied a lot on the sports science program to stay ahead of the competition. Woody may have been conservative but he wasn’t stupid. Woody did have other issues though. LOL

They were ok for OSU QB's, but hardly the type of top QB,that would have gone to OSU ,had they had an aggressive Passing game

So? At that time the schools producing the best QB’s were Schools like Purdue, Stanford, Florida, UCLA and Grambling. None of whom were competitive at the D1 national championship level in the 60’s and 70’s. Keep in mind that back then the rules heavily favored the run.

Your question was why didn’t Woody pass? I gave you a factually correct answer. He did.
 
Buckeyes have 30 minutes to to get it together. Fortunately for them Mario will do whatever it takes to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Now we just need Indiana to kick the ever loving fucking snot out of Alabama so they can ROLL TIDE their asses back home where they belong. They only made it in the playoff again this year because their name is Alabama.

I never thought Indiana was anything but real. I have my doubts as to whether my Crimson Tide can pull this off. Unless they developed a run game in the last week or so.

You mean because we have won so many games that our name is well known in championship circles?

I really don't follow college football that much, but now that the Buckeyes are done, I have
to go along with seeing Indiana win it all. Keep the champions up NORTH. We won the Civil
War, now lets continue to win the football championships. 🏈

Nah. Because you essentially get an auto bid into the playoffs every single year, even when you have an "off year" and don't deserve it, simply because your name is Alabama.
