Federal Judge Invokes '1984' While Ordering Trump Administration to Restore Slavery Exhibit in Philadelphia Park

Have you forgotten your side's assholes tearing down statues, changing sports team's names and school mascots because you were "insulted"?
No, it's not our side that's doing that, Sally.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A federal judge has ordered the restoration of interpretive panels telling stories of people who were enslaved at the President's House site in Philadelphia, siding with city officials and advocacy groups who argued that removing the displays erased the history of enslaved people held by George Washington.

What began as a protest at the President's House on Monday afternoon turned into a celebration when supporters learned of the ruling.

Fuck you...
Indeed. You are fucked.

Question: Was this display in the least relevant to the history of the NHS in question? After all, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania were never slave owning areas and had no connection to slavery in the US other than the most peripheral one. So, again, what was the relevance of the display to the site in question?
Question: Is trying to whitewash our national history a good thing?

Reading though that it appears that nothing more than a footnote to history was removed, much of it a presentism fallacy. What they apparently did was elevate something that was minor and insignificant at the time into a major historical point using present day values. In a sense, they commit cultural suicide.
Slavery, "minor and insignificant"? Boy - the lengths you will go to be a good cuck for trumpism - I mean your "journey" to being a total Goebbels has really been interesting!

Question: Is trying to whitewash our national history a good thing?
No, and neither is playing Trivial Pursuit at a national park with the displays. A single plaque might have been appropriate. A whole wall of them detailing the lives of something like 9 slaves that were occasionally at the site is stupid beyond belief.

No one is playing "trivial" anything. MAGA is trying to whitewash history. You change your standards when trump does. You're not conservative - trying to silence Kelly and the other officials is not "conservative". Tariffs are not "free trade". Armies of masked thugs trampling on The Constitution is not "conservative".

How does it feel having no principles whatsoever?

Sure, they are. How important to the site is the fact that for a few years, one President had 9 slaves as servants on the site in comparison to the Presidents and other VIP sorts that used it? Is there a mention of other serving staff that were non-slaves? Why make such a big deal out of a few of "The Help" simply because they were Black and slaves? What's so special about them?

This is Woke on steroids. Like I said, a single small plaque might be appropriate, not a whole wall detailing those people's lives.

Well, I know I speak for the majority of Americans when I say I'm glad you don't make the rules.

Wow. You just seem to insist that you are going to prove that the cult ate you brain.

Go read the entire ruling and then come back and apologize for being so stupid. Was the underground railroad only about nine slaves?

Fuck you...
Translation: Because your side acted like fucking morons tearing down statues of Confederate generals, my side is justified in erasing all Black history.

Arbie has a man-child's view of the world.

Please define "woke" since I've never seen a MAGAt who was able to do it other than "shit I don't like".

Why must you be such a lying coward?
How do I support erasing black history? Be specific.

You should know, servant. You were born without principals. You prove it daily with your posts.

Wait are we trying to say Trump and his Admin are being hypocrites once again???

----------

In 2017 and 2020, Donald Trump argued against the removal of Confederate monuments and statues, stating that the country’s history—even "uncomfortable" parts—should be preserved, learned from, and not "ripped apart"

Oh wait, he meant that all the racist stuff must remain no matter how uncomfortable but anything that memorializes slavery or issues of PoC or natives, etc, that needs to be removed from sight and not "learned from".
