Eating Bambi

Tenderloins. I'd put 30 mins of smoke on 'em, then 10-12 minutes of preheated hot as the oven gets with bacon wrapped all around 'em naked. Then shut the oven off and wait for 2 hrs. One could put the bacon already on 'em in the smoker, too.

First thing I do is eat the heart. Backstraps and hindquarters are saved for a special occasion.

I make sausage out of anything. Guts don't belong in a hole.
How old are you? :rofl2:
That's some stuff my grandma or friend's mom would do.
Grandma would clean my fish I brought home and eat the roe.
Older people used to eat all kinds of stuff.
"Hogshead Cheese"
Well, it ain't cheese. :nono:
I ain't eatin' that. Deer probably do have some decent casings if you want to make some sausage.
Reminds me of boiled diapers.

The human brain and body needs fat. You won't find much on Bambi.

Goattales

One time I had some Bambi ribs drying out and turning black in the fridge so I smoked a bowl and trimmed the meat off the bones for a sauce. Folk who don't get stoned would toss them dried out bones in the trash.

I have never had it, even though I have known a fair number of people who hunt and have had a lot in their freezers.

THE WIFE and I have decided to do it.
I know a lot of people who hunt as well and they really enjoy the meat... our neighbors save all the scraps and organ meat for the dogs...
i never turn that down...

I hope you don't mean like chitlins.
