Germany’s defense minister rebuffs Trump’s Strait of Hormuz request: ‘This is not our war’

No that is just the lie magats tell themselves.

America more than any other nation benefitted from the alliance post WW2 and that is demonstrable fact.

But magats tell themselves they are always victims. It is a victim culture.
I lived in Germany in the mid 90’s in an army town. . They did NOT want the Americans there. In fact there was a kneipe in Kitzingen that would not allow Americans to enter.
What was your personal experience living in a NATO country?

Exactly.

It was the US who wanted their bases all over as it BENEFITTED THE US.

The US wanted to be the worlds sole Super power and to fund that they needed the bases all across the world subsidized by the countries they put them in along with those countries adopting the US currency as the Reserve currency.

It was a quid pro quo the US wanted and demanded and got the greatest benefit from despite magats now trying to rewrite history to pretend somehow America was taken advantage of, as the greatest benefactor of it.

No other countries should come to the U.S. aid in helping reopening the Strait of Hormuz?!! Trump started this war, and it's his
albatross now?!!

Germany’s defense minister on Monday rebuffed calls from U.S. President Trump to send ships to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, telling reporters “this is not our war.”

Trump has called on allies, including those in NATO, for military support to keep the vital shipping route open. Iran has effectively closed the strait for the past two weeks in response to the U.S.-Israeli war on Tehran, using missiles, drones and mines to attack oil tankers trying to get through.

“What does … Donald Trump expect a handful or two handfuls of European frigates to do in the Strait of Hormuz that the powerful U.S. Navy cannot do?” Boris Pistorius said in Berlin, as reported by Reuters. “This is not our war, we have not started it.”

Trump on Sunday said he is in talks with “about seven” countries on policing the Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply flows.

A day earlier on Saturday, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform that China, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, South Korea and other countries “affected by this artificial constraint” should send ships to police the strait.

Over the last 24 hours, zero ships have made it through the waterway, down significantly from the typical daily average of 60 ships, according to hormuzstraitmonitor.com.

In an interview with the Financial Times on Sunday, Trump also warned that the NATO alliance faces a “very bad” future if they do not help keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

“It’s only appropriate that people who are the beneficiaries of the strait will help to make sure that nothing bad happens there,” Trump said.

But countries have remained noncommittal, with Germany outright rejecting any calls to help.

Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said in an interview with Germany’s ARD television on Sunday that he was “very skeptical” that sending German ships to the strait would provide greater security.

And government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius said the conflict has nothing to do with NATO.

“Neither the United States nor Israel consulted us before the war, and . . . Washington explicitly stated at the outset of the war that European assistance was neither necessary nor desired,” he said.

Pistorius downplayed Trump’s threat to NATO over the issue, telling reporters he didn’t think it would lead to a breakdown of the alliance.

So this draft dodging coward is now whining that "we don't need anybody", we have the best this, the best that, etc....if that's the case, you moron than stop holding press conferences begging for fuckin help. You and that Jew motherfucker got this, than stop begging our USTA Be, allies for fuckin help, do you, Jew.....LOL

Number one reason Iran is strickly targeting areas where US citizen reside and live. Had we a normal human being in the white house, that formula has worked out for us for decades, now they're just all sitting targets and understand this shit. Muslims are the most proficient at being patient.

The reason NATO was formed was to preserve the world order. After bashing our allies for years he wonders why would leaders aren't excited about being in a world war for hom.

Exactly. No member nation was attacked. Therefore, NATO has nothing to do with it.

Most of them have their own armies. Maybe they could offer to "help" individuaslly, in exchange for TACO dropping tariffs, or some other concession from the Orange Bully?

Denmark, a tiny nation of 6 million people, sent 18,000 troops to Afghanistan, losing 40 soldiers. That is more per capita than any other nation, including the USA.

What did they get for that? trump threatening to invade some of their territory, and inviting Putin to invade the rest.

trump betrays our allies, and everyone knows that. What is the point of buying someone off when you know they will go back on their word?
My best advice is to never try to rationalize with irrational people. It's an exercise in futility.

NATO benefits the United States because it contains problems "over there" rather than the isolationist stupidity of waiting for it to come over here.

MAGAts are morons and domestic enemies of the Constitution of the United States. Every patriotic American should note where these idiots live, work and visit.

Nobody Wants To Clean Up Trump's Mess In The Strait Of Hormuz

U.S. allies in Europe and elsewhere are continuing to rebuff President Donald Trump’s demands they help reopen the Strait of Hormuz amid the U.S.-Israeli war in Iran, despite Trump’s ultimatums, pleas and claims that, actually, “we no longer need” their help after all.

(Rounding out the mixed messaging, Trump also claimed Monday that “numerous countries” were already “on the way” to help, but declined to say which ones.)

Turns out allies don’t like helping when all you do is insult them.

“They should be in here very happily helping us,” Trump told reporters Monday. “They should be jumping to help us because we’ve helped them for years.”

Trump struck a different tone Tuesday in a post on social media.

“Speaking as President of the United States of America, by far the Most Powerful Country Anywhere in the World, WE DO NOT NEED THE HELP OF ANYONE!”

Here’s what the rest of the world is saying:

European Union

European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas told Reuters that “nobody is ready to put their people in harm’s way in the Strait of Hormuz.”

“We have to find ... diplomatic ways to keep this open so that we don’t have a ... food crisis, fertilizers crisis, energy crisis in the world,” she said.

Kallas added that the 27-nation bloc would be open to looking at ways to replicate a deal that helped get grain out of Ukraine amid the war in the country, telling Reuters that the United Nations is already working on that.

Your hatred of the US military has been made abundantly clear over the years just like your abuse of women.

^ Basically the guy that asked ten girls to the school dance, gets rejected by all of them, and then ends up saying he never really wanted to go to the dance.

^^^
Too poorly educated to know that the US didn't enter WWI until April 4, 1917.

WWII began on September 1, 1939, but the US didn't enter until after Pearl Harbor over two years later.

No dumbfuck.....we were supporting their efforts BEFORE we entered the war. Did you even go to school AT ALL? The U.S sent war material and other supplies and also supported them by loaning money.

Yet the other NATO countries demanded more and more money from us for Ukraine. So yeah,....that shoots down that.

Germany sent, on average, about 1,300 troops to Afghanistan where they were used in entirely defensive roles. They weren't allowed by the German government to take part in any offensive operations. Australia had about 1,500 there at any time. Hell, Canada, that doesn't have much of an army sent about 2,100 troops.

Even France sent a bigger contingent with 3,200 ground troops and a squadron of fighter-bomber aircraft. Spain sent a brigade of about 2,500 troops.
Thanks for confirming NATO member nations collectively sent thousands of troops to Afghanistan per their treaty obligation to engage in collective defense when a NATO member state is attacked. You're also leaving out a lot of NATO member states who sent expeditionary forces to Afghanistan.

As far as I know, 9/11 and Afghanistan are the only time in NATO history Article 15 was invoked to defend a member state, i.e the United States. Technically speaking, the United States never put troops in harms way in a combat situation to defend a NATO member state like Germany, France, or Denmark

Most sent tiny detachments there. During the 1st Desert Storm (invasion of Kuwait) only Britain and France sent sizable contingents. This is a typical pattern for NATO members.

So you never had any experience living in a NATO country .
No frame of reference whatsoever.
