Trump is the worst President in US history.

What Americans, whether Democrat or Republican supporters, fail to understand is what exactly U.S. politicians mean when they say they "hope China becomes more democratic." What does that really mean? Is it that these American politicians are so kind-hearted that they wish for a better life for the Chinese people?

Suppose their wish came true. China became a democratic country fully adopting the American political system, impeccable in every aspect. Then a new question arises: if such a China demanded that oil trade be settled in its own currency, would the US accept it? Or to put it more simply, suppose a fully Westernized China possessed military power three times that of the US and built 500 military bases around the world. Would the US think, "Since China has fully adopted our political system and ideology, we welcome such a powerful China as our ally in the civilized world"? Is that even possible?

Democratic supporters need to stop imagining that the America of the past was morally superior. You think that America was more ethical simply because you are unaware of the ugly things it did to other countries.

And #TRE45ON aims to keep it that way by rewriting history and removing any mention of America's less-than-humane actions in dealing with African slaves, indigenous people, imported Chinese laborers who built the railroads that expanded the nation, and other poor dealings with other nations.

you mean Obama arrogant enough to think he can frame the new president for treason?
Well Trump did show the Chinese some of the secrets he had at MAR and bragged about it, and he had 12 Russians in the W H WITHOUT another American there , just how many secrets did he show. sell / give them?
It is very suspicious that not long after he had them in the W H that the CIA/ NSA/ and FBI came out and said there was an unexplained increase of a large amount of our deep cover intel agents being found and killed.
So maybe somebody in Congress should look into it.
Trump may be one of our biggest traitors that this country has ever had.
I for one have mailed / called / emailed my Congress people and have asked them to look into it , How many other people on have ?
Everybody should.

Agree. Combined with a lack of ethics and conscience, no understanding of the Constitution and government, not a shred of diplomacy, irrational speech and behavior, ignorance, and stupidity and you have the perfect recipe for a disaster of a "leader."
Yes, indeed. He's a thug. Andrew Johnson, Harding and Nixon came close to that mark. Trump hits the nail on the head. Apropos of this is a NYTimes piece this morning that lays out the mayhem he unleashed on the country with his many of pardons people who then proved once again to be much like himself.

Great. He's done a good job of distracting the racist idiot MAGATs by pointing at crimes committed by "illegals" and/or former convicts, all non-whites, of course.

And got all his MAGA followers minds off the Epstein files.
It is time Congress does it's job and does a complete investigation and let the cards fall where they may.
If you are in them and have done something wrong you should be held accountable for your actions no matter who you are.

The Biden administration's strategy is to unite allies in imposing a blockade on China. This strategy aligns with America's traditional narrative. But is it effective? I don't think so. The problem, however, is that because this strategy fits so perfectly into that traditional narrative, I believe that if Americans were to debate it, those who support it would surely win. It is built on a massive narrative that has been sustained for many years.

In contrast, Trump's strategy is far more straightforward and crude, yet actually very effective—though it is ugly. The United States is no longer on a moral high ground. It uses military force to coerce smaller nations into submission, pressuring them to join its encirclement of China. The U.S. cannot defeat China while maintaining decency. By threatening virtually every other country in the world with military force, the U.S. improves its chances of victory. Excluding China and Russia, the combined military power of all other nations cannot match that of the United States. In practice, the U.S. can achieve any goal through force. I believe this will become the prevailing style of the U.S. government for the next 20 years, regardless of whether the president is from the Democratic Party or the Republican Party.
You are justifying Trump's only technique, bullying. His tariff bullying has driven away allies and "friends". It has increased inflation and hurt businesses. He is using brutal force in Itan. He has launched military attacks while supposedly being in serious treaty talks. Diplomacy and tact have been destroyed for the US and the world while Trump is in power.
Trump's ridiculous ego makes him think only he can run anything. His entire admin just implements his crazy ideas.
Do we survive this mentally defective preaient, or are we doomed?

I am not justifying the bullying behavior of the U.S. government. I am Chinese, and although I don’t want to emphasize this in every post, I certainly know what the U.S. is doing to my country. What I mean is, if the U.S. government could perfectly uphold some kind of moral code, that would certainly be a good thing, but such a situation simply does not exist. Do you think the Biden administration does not bully its allies? Those so-called allies of the U.S. are more like subordinates, even under a Democratic president who governs with more decorum—hasn’t that always been the case? That illusion of a dignified family of free world is nothing more than a mirage.
