Whatever the law allows for making threats against the President of the United States of America. Clearly there was enough evidence to indict him. And an indictment is a serious thing as you lefties always told us with Trump.

The law states that they can get:

Up to 5 years in prison
Fines
Supervised release after prison
Permanent felony on their record
Other penalties can come into play because it was electronic

So that is what Justice would be.

Remember, they don't have to actually carry it out. The law is what would any reasonable person what interpret the threat to be. And any reasonable person would interpret what he did as a threat against the President. It is even worse because of who he is, although the law does not take that into account.

As for the comments you leftists have made here on JPP, I agree many have been worse. If they ever rose to the level of a real threat, I am sure that they would have been investigated. Surely you see the difference between a post by a former FBI director on Twitter and some anonymous schmuck like you on a lowly trafficked message board? I have heard in the past that people on this board have been investigated. What happened to them I do not know.

Like I said, you are being obtuse if you think that Comey was saying it in the context of a "grilled cheese sandwich" especially given his status as former FBI director. He thought he was being cute and got caught. You think he is above the law.

You need to look up the law. You don't need to prove that in order to be found guilty. You don't even have to make the attempt. The law is what the law is. And could a reasonable person agree that it was a threat? In fact given Comey's history in law enforcement dealing with these types of issues, I would think he should be held to a higher standard of judgement don't you? You don't think Comey is smart enough to think that it might be construed as a threat? Do you believe his story that he just "happened upon it while walking on the beach and thought it would be cool to post"?

No I don't think they are different. You may want to because your argument is weak and indefensible.

They don't have to prove intent. That is not how the law is written. You don't have to have intent to kill the President to be prosecuted for making statements that allude to killing the President. You should brush up on the law before you embarrass yourself further.

BTW, did you believe Comey's story? It wasn't him that fashioned those shells? He just happened to stumble upon it while on the beach? What do you think the odds are of that?
