Sycophancy

The social psychology term: sycophancy
Sycophancy captures the behavioral surface — the excessive flattery, the mirroring of the powerful person’s opinions, the competitive enthusiasm to please. What distinguishes sycophancy around a bully specifically is that it isn’t purely opportunistic. There’s a fear substrate underneath the flattery. The sycophant around a bully is also buying protection and signaling non-threat status to the group.

fawning…

The clinical foundation: trauma bonding and appeasement
The fawn response was formally described by therapist Pete Walker as a fourth stress response alongside fight, flight, and freeze. Where those three responses involve resistance or escape, fawning involves preemptive submission — placating the threat before it strikes. It’s the nervous system’s calculation that ingratiation is safer than resistance.
In a bully’s orbit, this looks like excessive agreement, volunteering flattery, laughing at cruelty directed at others, and performing loyalty. The person isn’t stupid or spineless in any simple sense — they are often running a sophisticated threat-assessment that concluded proximity and appeasement is survivable, while independence is not.

It’s basically a fear response, to identify with the bully, due to insecurity and or fear of being bullied.

Flatter the bully because something in your childhood made the idea of being bullied intolerable.

Likely you had a bully as a parent.

Trumpers see America being erased by the globalist cabal.....and that Trump was the only one who ever showed up claiming to want to do anything about the problem.

But that doesn’t explain why they automatically and viciously support anything he says, and act like they enjoy his bullying, why they enjoy picking on anyone they see as weak.

They have had ten years to ditch Trump and nominate a conservative with better character and more intelligence. But their cultish worship of Trump has taken hold of them so deeply that he has become their bloated tangerine Messiah.

If I believed that only the elderly and mortal Trump was the problem, I would be much less convinved that the republic is permanently finished.
Trump simply revealed the fact that the percentage of our population with severe moral deficiency was large enough to take America down.

Niblick said it here first, and I believe him. Using his sobriquets, it's not Pigshit. It's his legion of Tumpanzees that America couldn't survive.

There are a lot of descriptions, they all boil down to a basic insecurity, likely caused by an emotionally abusive childhood.
So you are a psychologist now?

Sure you aren’t projecting?

It is hilarious how you paint people who support Trump when nothing could be further from the truth.

You think that because we don’t go along with every lunatic accusations you leftists make about him every day we fawn over him. That isn’t true.

And what protection do you think Trump can offer me. Do you think he sees what is posted here? How deluded can you be?
