Question..."guess" actually.

Sure they do. At least, 4 or 5 Canadians do.

The other 41 million would stick with their system totally...and generally think the U.S. is nuts for the way they handle healthcare...as any sane person would.

After all, we pay MUCH more for our healthcare, have a smaller percentage of our population covered, and rank dead last in healthcare results among the top 10 wealthy nations of the planet.

Our healthcare is an abomination.

I didn't say they wanted our system. Hell, most of us don't want it either.

But they do love crossing the border for medical procedures that are more difficult to get in Canada. Plus, they come for the quicker access to medical care.

partially. 74% of covid deaths were caused by the vaccines.

"the science" is under a state of corporate capture.

stop being an evil big pharma shill.

Here is a link to the facts about the vaccine. No, it did not kill more people than Covid. In fact, they had a hard time finding a single fatality linked solely to the vaccine.

There are certainly issues with our healthcare system and many very valid complaints. And we hear the complaints from people across the political spectrum.

At the same time, other countries systems have issues of their own and you offered an example. There are tradeoffs that come with other systems.

To me, saying our system sucks and we should adopt X country's system may feel good but isn't reality. You don't take a system as large as ours with so many different vested interests and completely transform it (in a short period of time).

its true.

look it up.

You should have looked at the link I posted.

It had this tidbit for your education: "Available reporting and peer‑reviewed studies do not provide a single, validated global count of deaths that are confirmed as causally caused by COVID‑19 vaccines since 2020."

I did look it up. I found no evidence that there were more deaths from the vaccine than from Covid.

In fact, there is proof.

We are still giving Covid vaccines to large numbers of people. Covid-19 has diminished exponentially. But vaccine use has stayed high.

If both kill people, why are there far fewer deaths now?

stop believing big pharma lies.

did you watch Rand Paul crossing Fauci under oath?

no. you didn't.

you only care about your stocks.

you're selfish and genocidal.

yes. you're willfully ignorant on important matters.

If, by "willfully ignorant" you mean I don't follow cheesy web sites based on conjecture, then yes, I am willfully ignorant.

But since that definition won't fly in the real world, I am not willfully ignorant. I am intelligent enough to require scientific evidence when making my decision on such a topic. I don't have knee-jerk reactions to such garbage. I also prefer the facts as given by doctors over anonymous internet trolls.

admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

good for you.

I support your journey!

Yea, sure...

Quartzite AZ swells to a population of over a million in the winter as huge numbers of Canadians come to Arizona in their RV's and trailers to camp at that border town where the campsites are mostly free. They then go to Mexico for prescription drugs, dental, and medical care on the cheap they can't easily, or at all, get in Canada.

Algodones Mexico is a city of dental clinics, opticians, doctors, and pharmacies that cater to Americans and Canadians alike. They are inexpensive and there's no waiting. Canadians that can afford to travel there do travel there because they know their own healthcare system sucks.

I've noticed that it is almost impossible to get an unaffiliated doctor these days. Almost all belong to medical associations...as do most hospitals. All of these "groups" are for-profit.
Good.
So here is the predicate for my question...asking each of you for your best guess:

Since these groups are formed to maximize profits for the hospital and physician members...do you guess that in situations where it would be more profitable to require extended testing or repeat doctor visits before any procedure be performed (regardless of whether those visits or tests are absolutely needed)...will the association encourage the more profitable route...or will the association encourage the less profitable alternative? Especially if the patient is on Medicare or Medicaid.
Federal fraud is a problem in medical services as well.
No need to even explain your guesses, but if you feel comfortable doing so, give some reasons for your guess.
You still have no idea what price discovery means, do you?

Insurance is the worse things that has happened to medical care. When you go to the doctor the insurance company is the customer not the patient. The doctor or hospital get paid by the insurance company not the patient The patient in turn doesnt care about the cost of treatment they only care about how much they have to pay for the insurance. Prices are inflated as insurance companies decide how much they will pay not the patient.
True. The insurance companies are going so far as to commit medical malpractice. Yet more fallout from the Obamacare disaster.
