Of course i immediately thought, "Ties are like kissing your sister." I wonder where that came from anyway...who would want to kiss their sister. I was sure glad when college football implemented an overtime so we could have an eventual winner when a game ended in a tie.
The push to change the goalpoast width was stupid, IMO. I figure they were trying to make the sport gain in popularity over here by trying to make it easier to score. They shouldn't do that. Besides, as this country grows more Hispanic, we are seeing soccer gain in popularity all the time. It will eventually have a large audience here.
Anyway, I have long ago resigned that there are differences in tastes when it comes to most aspects of life...sports included. After all, you guys like tea in little cups, hot...not in huge glasses over ice sweetened to syrup by sugar.

I will never belittle someone for liking a sport but am glad I am not forced to watch. Alas, I think my son is starting to become keen on soccer so one day I may be forced to watch it after all.
