Nope... didn't say that... The WW provision of the Patriot Act doesn't ignore the Constitution, that is your opinion, and not mine. When it comes to defending the nation against attack, it is inherently impossible to afford civil liberties to the attackers.... it just is. Sorry, wish it could be another way, but it's not. You can either grow the fuck up and join us in the real world, or continue to pretend we live in a fantasy land, where you can act all incredulous about the civil liberties of people determined to destroy America. Where have I ever advocated the government can do whatever it wants? Yes, 9/11 certainly changed everything, if you think otherwise, you are a dangerous person to be articulating a viewpoint on this. I support the Constitution, but what good is a Constitution if we are destroyed by Islamofascist terrorists? I support PROTECTING the Constitution, more than the interpreted bird-brain nonsense you have found in the Constitution.

no, you don't support the constitution. you support the government protecting you over the constitution. plain and simple. did 9/11 rewrite the constitution?
why was the constitution written? who wrote the constitution? what does the constitution create? what does the constitution protect? you can't answer any of these because you don't really know. you'd rather let the gov bend the constitution in to something it's not for it's own security theater purposes in order for you to 'feel' safe, instead of maintaining the government as your servant.

you talk real big about how things are different now, but what you're really trying to hide is your innate belief that the constitution is a living document, much like the liberals do.

China is not a socialist country, it is actually a bit hard to describe today. It is more of an oligarchy with managed, as opposed to free market, capitalism as its economic system.

in China the assets and profits of a business are owned by the government, with a "free market" management team that is compensated based on performance in producing what they are licensed by the government to produce.....it may be a more successful socialism, but it is still socialism.....
