Good question.
First, it should be pointed out to liberals and progressives who support him how ignorantly they've fallen for a dangerous and vile illusion as easily as the right-wing we challenge. This is a man who makes George Bush look like Humanitarian of the Year. I have no problem with him being supported by libertarians and his ilk, but any liberal / progressive support for him is mindless.
Additionally, I detest his comments about blacks. The fact that he cannot win does not deter me from illuminating what this man is.
I'm a citizen, not a subject, and I'm simply following my Jeffersonian duty and responsibility as such.

No, but when you attend their functions and go on their talk shows, that does in fact mean you participated.
Paul doesn't deny that, and I'm willing to bet that you can't find one single comment of his that repudiates these hate groups he seems to be such a darling of. I can however, give you his quotes that denounce civil rights groups and organizations.

Which hate group has Ron Paul actually gone to a function of? So far you have posted a few quotes that have yet to be proven to be his in context. Then you posted a site that had his congressional office address on it.
So far you have about as much, or less, on this than AHZ does on the supposed Kennedy Family Conspiracy to Take Over The World....
I am not saying you are wrong in that those remarks are discomfitting, to say the least, I am saying that you are insisting his "participation" without evidence of such yet displayed.

Here are the first vote returns in his race against Greg Laughlin who was a democrat that switched parties ...

Because the south has runoffs if a candidate doesn't get 50%, there was a runoff. In the runoff, Deats threw his support to Paul because of personal issues with Laughlin. It's a small district and it has changed since then. At that time 75% of the district was white, 26% hispanic, and 12% black. Today, 40% of the district is hispanic, and 18% is black.
He beat his last opponent, Shane Sklar, a democrat, 60-40.
Only 7% of his campaign funds come from within the district, the other 93% from outside the district.
He most certainly can be beaten.

Since then what has he won by? And in the run off, at the R assembly it turns out that Paul won? Interesting. You had to go back to the Congressional District Assembly to find a result like that, and in 1996?! Come on, you can do better than that!
