did you feel that way with Bush? Then move to Somalia.
In the USA, the president makes decisions that affect people's lives.

did you feel that way with Bush?
Are those your prerequisites for a good president?
I don't hate Obama. I just don't want him making any decisions that may effect my family, home, money, employment, or hobbies/habits.
I don't know of anyone who "hates" Obama. A lot of us very strongly oppose his policies and are working as hard as we can for his removal.
Because it is the policy they hate, not the man. Unlike the left with Bush or the right with Clinton.
Check out the posts at righwing racist forums like these:

Add what you see there to the hate expressed by Failas and WebbWay....
Obama has been absolutely villified. It's not "just his policy." It's extremely personal, and has been since the campaign. That's politics today & for the past 20 years, but please.
You're detached.
Well DUH...
You think those who hate Obama haven't figured out their arguments get more mileage if they claim it's all about his "policies" and not about him personally?
Don't you think that even RACISTS are smart enough to understand that claiming they hate him because he's black is stupid?
They're going to gain more supporters if they couch their personal hatred for the man behind rhetoric denouncing his "policies"?
He has been villified, but not the level that happened with Bush or Clinton.
The fault lies at the door of the media and the promotion of the soundbite. Few people think in sentences any more and paragraphs are almost unknown.
It's intellectual idleness.
'He's a one term president.' they shouted and the braindeads screamed 'Yeah.' 'Where is his birth certificate?' they screamed and the braindeads shouted back 'Yeah.'
'He's a commie.' 'He's a Kenyan.' He's a Muslim.'
But never what was really in their crooked putrid little hearts:
He's .... BLACK!
Politics is about policies and good governance. 'He's gonna take away our guns!' Politics is about using power to empower people. 'He's not a christian.' Politics is about manifestos and leading people so everyone gets a fair crack of the whip. 'He's a Muslim, he doesn't believe in JEEEEzuSSSS!!'
That's what has gone wrong, not the only thing. TV, press, megamoney have taken away your ability to be rational. None of them can afford a country in which people actually think. People who think are bearded wierdos, dirty, smelly, pierced, out of work, commie bastards.
Leave the country to US. The stooooopid ones. We'll be the Koch line. We'll supply the tea. We'll NEVER try to think .... if only you will take care of us ... pleeeeease.
Then move to Somalia.
In the USA, the president makes decisions that affect people's lives.
That's right, jaw-jacker.
So why does it appear this has changed. I respect the change, believe its for the better, but would like to understand the cause. Is it President Obama's quiet style or is it some evolution in society?
Sure there has been plenty of that, but the allegations that he is a Kenyan or a Muslim and even the using of his middle name when they would otherwise not, have subsided and ceased. I suspect because they realized it was backfireing and are starting to have more respect for the intelect of the American people. It could also be that they belive they have some valid arguments against him this time.
Because people are realizing that focusing on the policy is the path to the White House this time. Basically, when the focus is on what he has done, his numbers go down. When the focus is on birth certificates, his numbers go up. You do what works.
Or, vote him out of office. In the USA, there is this thing called elections...
So why aren't you in Somalia?
I like living in a country with a functioning government, and I'm not the one whining about having to abide by the result of the last election.
Besides, I am too busy working to get the Tea Party message out to leave the USA.
Which Obama won in 2008.
A vote for Newt is a vote for a loser.
BTW, didn't you say you'd never seen Obama hung in effigy?
Dance, Dalai Damocles, dance.
