Vader's case seems to me, from the posts, in between the arguments about unions, to be something like this: There was a promotion available, the company had 20+ people who wanted it and were available candidates, there was a M-F shift available and vader didn't get it and doesnt want the promotion that would entail him working on Sunday.

It really comes down to this, the company doesn't have to bend over backwards to make it work for you, they don't have to put out prayer mats for muslims, they don't have to observe the moon rituals for the wiccans(don't laugh I had a friend's gf do some wierd stuff) and they don't have to let the Jehovah's witnesses preach at work. They accomadate but there is a line. Just because there was a position m-f doesn't mean you should get it, you are already working for them, you don't have to take the promotion and choosing between religion and work is kinda a thing most people do. "Do I want to work at a corporate law firm when greed is a sin?" "Should I try for this position when my friend wants it and I am to love my neighbor as myself?" So make your descision and stick with it, and don't complain that the company isn't shifting it's schedule to make your life easy, they hired you, your choice to work for them.
 
I find it comical, of course I want him to be promoted. But suing for a promotion

you can be fired for any reason, certainly you can be not promoted for any

If you have a Bachelor's Degree it is pretty much a given you have an Associate's Degree, considering the Associate's Degree is a two year degree... you pretty much have to have one to get the Bachelor's Degree.
 
You're probably not going to win many allies on this issue, Vader. Conservatives believe in economic freedom, and your fellow liberals hate your religion. Just saying.

I think what he's saying is he went to a junior college, earned his Associates, and transferred to a 4-year school where he earned his Bachelors degree. Had he gone straight to a 4-year school, he probably wouldn't bother with an Associates degree.
