‘He’s a Fake’: Ron Paul on Santorum

the older i get....the more than UNFORTUNATELY makes sense.

i remember when politics didn't mean much to me...then metermaid school....and it did and i took a right leaning view. now....right down the middle.

yeah, like most politicians, they are owned by the people with big bucks :(

still there are some differences, which is why i tend to vote dem

Rick Santorum is the most genuine of the lot. The fact that the media & liberals treat him like a male Sarah Palin, is perfectly fine by me :)

Santorum, like Gingrich and Mitt, voted for the NDAA. I am amazed that they can claim to be for the US Constitution when they voted for that piece of treasonous legislation.

All politicians who voted for the NDAA should be run out of office. (I've toned it down from wanting them hung for treason)

A year ago Rick Santorum was getting up at four in the morning to substitute-host Bill Bennett's radio show. Now, not many people listen to the Bill Bennet show because it's really boring and Bill's voice is calibrated to put you right back to sleep. But Santorum did it anyway. He wasn't getting paid to promote himself on Fox. He didn't have a reality show or a billion dollars. But given a chance to speak to even a few thousand listeners, he took it. That's a kind of workingman's approach to politics that I can appreciate. And it isn't fake.

Except he took an oath to uphold the US Constitution, and then has voted in ways that violate that oath.

Workingman's approach or not, that is not what we as citizens should allow our political leaders to do. Not ever.

The older I get, the less this matters to me. Everyone violates the Constitution. Obama does. Bush did. Clinton did before that. And every president going back to FDR (who was a great president and violated the hell out of the Constitution). Abraham Lincoln -- he did a pretty good job too.

And every politician lies, so we should just ignore that?

Every politician takes money from big corporations who expect something in return, so we shouldn't worry?

If you want to toss the constitution, then do it. But don't pretend it matters and then ignore the leaders who ignore the rules.
