I am dissapointed in President Obama.

Iraq he followed the timeline set up by Bush... and that was a bad call.
The tracking of Obama was set in place before Obama took office. He made a difficult call on the actual strike, but that is it.

Funny you didn't mention Iran, North Korea, Israel, Palestine, Syria etc...

I can't remember ever seeing someone try so hard to not give an individual any credit. Foreign policy isn't a "just add what to what your predecessor was doing" kind of thing.

He got Osama, and we're out of Iraq. Period.

As for the hot spots you mentioned, how 'bout that? There are actually problems in the world that the American President - even a Messianic President - can't solve. Crazy!

What is silly is your straw man above. I have no problem giving him credit when he deserves it. If you disagree with what I wrote in response to Jarod, do highlight that and we can discuss.

You undermine your own credibility by saying 'Obama is the best at everything'

Jarod started this thread to express disappointment w/ Obama, and hope for another Dem candidate. I have stated that I'm not voting for Obama - hate Afghanistan, hate his pot policy.

It's not enough for the bloodlust of you ODSers. Anything good that Obama DID accomplish in foreign policy is only because he followed that neat little 10-point post-it that Bush left on the Oval Office desk...

Who are you going to vote for Onceler?

Who are you going to vote for Onceler?

I'm going to pick the 3rd party candidate who I like the best come election time. I have railed 3rd party voting in the past - "Wasted vote! You're just casting a vote for (insert deplorable GOP candidate here)." But I think I was wrong.

Yes, a 3rd party candidate can't win now, which is why it doesn't really matter who I choose. I just see it as a positive if more Americans start voting 3rd party. Maybe one day, one can become viable. Because the 2 parties as they stand now really suck.

Don't be afraid to join the Revolution Onceler. You can join my buddy who e-mailed me this yesterday as part of a discussion we were having.

"Amen, people need to realize that there is very little difference between Romney and Obama. Neither of them give a crap about America. People treat politics like it’s a football game and just want to root for the winning team. I am voting Ron Paul and have promised to get 10 people to do the same. It’s been an easy sell so far.

And yes, he (Ron Paul) is kind of crazy"

And no worries - it won't be the Libertarian. Probably the Greenie...

Oh thank God. You see what being Libertarian has done to most of the men Onceler. I'd hate to see you turn into a huge, abusive, prick.

So that's good news.

I agree with you about third parties and I think that living in Ny we also have the freedom to do so without worrying about a Florida situation. By Florida situation I mean circa 2000...not that someone might stalk and shoot us dead in "self-defense" because we voted third party, or attempted to vote while being black.

Yeah - that was when I was at my most crazed over being anti-3rd party. I mean, there is no other way to slice it; Nader cost Gore that election. And we wouldn't have gone to Iraq under Gore. So that's big stuff. But I'm starting to agree w/ the general notion that the 2 parties aren't really that different. They're just slaves to their corporate masters at this point.

Yes, 'he' got Osama. As I stated that was a tough call on his part. Yes, we are out of Iraq. Kudos. But normally when you see credit given for foreign policy it is because of something the President did other than 'status quo'. I have never seen such desperate attempts to credit a President for foreign policy.

As for the hot spots you mentioned, how 'bout that? There are actually problems in the world that the American President - even a Messianic President - can't solve. Crazy!

LMAO... so if our interactions with a country lead to something good... then we credit Obama. If our interactions/policies lead to something not good, well the world has problems. I will remember your criteria in the future when Obama is gone.

I like the football game line - very true. I am so, so hesitant to go on record as saying this on the board, but I actually do like Paul, though I also agree that he's kind of crazy. He's really fun to listen to, though.

Do you feel Perot cost Bush Sr. the election in '92?

Interesting, yet another poster lists them as great victories. Which is it?

That is much more fuzzy. With Gore/Nader, it's easy to look at the thin margin in FL, realize that MOST Nader voters would have gone Gore, and conclude that without Nader on the ticket, Gore wins.

There isn't anything as clear w/ Bush/Perot. Perot voters were more of a mix, and it just wasn't nearly as close.

So emotional... there is no bloodlust. Jarod was so desperate to come up with foreign policy 'success' he listed domestic issues that might involve foreigners. He listed some 'plan' of Obama's to stop supporting Mubarek. I was calling him out on his nonsense. You call it 'bloodlust'. You mention getting Osama as an accomplishment, proclaim I would not give Obama credit for anything... yet take a look at the thread again... I was the one that listed Osama as an accomplishment prior to Jarod's list. But I know, because you have BDS, you went off into a liberal tizzy when I dared mention Bush.

Absolutely. It's interesting when you're a woman because you have all that on the line though. So you have one party who will steal your medicare, SS, etc, strip the social safety net, transfer wealth to the 1 percentile, and destroy the environment on the direction of their corporate masters...and who will also pass legislation rendering you something less than human and stripping you of any all rights to control your own body, to privacy, even medical privacy, to legalize state-mandated rape, and to destroy your dignity.

And you have the second party who will do all that, but won't pass all of that anti-woman legislation, and who will "let you" keep most of your rights (but not all don't get carried away now bitches) but wrinkle their noses while they do it, cause you know, ech, why do we even have to talk about this? And, will throw you under the bus here and there if it's expedient for them to do so. It's an extremely disgusting situation.

SF wants recognition for not being so fucking batshit loony to not give credit to Obama for getting Osama. Setting the bar pretty low there, SF. Jesus.

LMAO... I wish I had gotten the memo from Dem headquarters that told the lemmings to run around pretending everyone who disagreed with Dem bullshit should be labeled as enraged.

Funny too that the most abusive person on that thread was the one bitching about others being abusive.
