importation of any firearm or ammunition imported for, sold or
shipped to, or issued for the use of, the United States or any
department or agency thereof or any State or any department,
agency, or political subdivision thereof.

licensed manufacturer, licensed dealer, or licensed collector who
pursuant to subsection (b) of section 925 of this chapter is not
precluded from dealing in firearms or ammunition, or to a person
who has been granted relief from disabilities pursuant to
subsection (c) of section 925 of this chapter.

(g) It shall be unlawful for any person -

of domestic violence,

section 922(p) - deals with rendering firearms undetectable, etc.

So, the laws apply to you and I, but if you're an agent of the government, with a government issued firearm, you can drink and do drugs while carrying that firearm and you are exempt from the law.

just another fine example of the police state that nobody wants to acknowledge yet.

seriously? you're not concerned that there are laws that apply to you and me, but not the government? why is it you support certain people being above the law?

It's more that I'm tired of arguing with these threads, so I'll switch over to messing with STY. It's easier and doesn't raise my blood pressure so much.

no, we get it. you feel powerless against the government. it's understandable. weak and cowardly people that have no constitution are like that. no need to complain about it. we just wish you wouldn't try to tear others down who are out there fighting against tyranny. Now, if you're like all the other statists and feel it's necessary to have a group of people that are 'first class citizens' that should have extra rights so they can control the people you're afraid of, well we'll just go ahead and laugh at you.

If i was inclined to overthrow the government for something, it definitely wouldn't be for something as stupid as not being allowed to own a gun without a permit. It would probably be for waging pointless never ending wars, or insisting that they stick a large invasive stick up a woman when she wants an abortion for somebody else doing the same thing, or possibly for being arrogant enough to still call their leader the "leader of the free world".

But there's things to do and stuff to see, and really, the government doesn't care if you hate it.

all that is fine and well, but I was referring to all rights, not just a specific right.
