Yes- but so is any form of denigration of an opponent, from campaign lampooning to criticism of policy.
One might say that the justice system should be impartial- but withholding evidence would be as much ' interference ' as publishing it. That's my take.

On a personal note- I believe Trump to be recognized by the public as a crook anyway- so a few thousand pages more won't damage a good reputation that he doesn't have.

Most of the stuff released seems to show that Trump is a traitorous, lying piece of shit. Since that is the reason most of the MAGA morons are voting for him, it seems the release helps rather than hurts him.

This isn't all the evidence. It is the evidence needed to support the claim that the indictment is not based on official acts.

Did you bother to go look at it? How much of it is redacted so unable to be seen? How many people have actually gone and read the 1800 plus pages? You are arguing that it taints the jury pool because people that don't look at it will have seen it. Your argument is complete nonsense. In cases where the jury pool is tainted it's because the media stories are so biased against the defendant that the jury pool has already made up their mind. That is hardly the case here. There is almost nothing new in this filing. There is nothing new in the reporting about this filing.

The public doesn't have to read the 1800 plus pages. The DNC/MSM media will cherry pick what they believe are the most damaging pieces and run with it day and night to damage Trump and throw an election.

One point about the volume of documents

Quantity =/= Quality

I suspect the volume of the dump was to at once, keep anyone from bothering to read through nearly 2000 pages of drivel, while making it appear that they have the goods on Trump. It's sort of a How could Trump NOT be guilty when there's 2000 pages of evidence he is?

That wasn't the argument I was responding to. The claim was the court filing would prevent Trump from getting a fair trial. Trials and court motions are supposed to be public in the US in order to be fair and allow the public to view the process. It is the basis of our court system.

The courts can't give defendants running for office a pass otherwise everyone arrested will just declare they are running for office in order to never go to trial. The evidence is clearly strong enough for Trump to be indicted and the case to not be dismissed for lack of evidence. If Trump hadn't committed a crime, he wouldn't be on trial.

The 1899 page appendix is a direct result of the Trump lawyers motion demanding that the prosecutors prove they have evidence to charge the crime. The appendix is simply the support of the 165 page filing.

None of this would have even been required if Trump, who claims he is innocent, had simply agreed to go to trial instead of filing motions to delay and delay and delay even more. The reason for the timing of the filing is because of Trump.
