1 Million + Protesters In DC

Really? Please explain.

I noticed you didn't address the issue. Is Freedomworks your idea of "grassroots"?

It is my idea of the same thing as a "community activist group" from the left. This measure of "astroturfing" is just foolish. When Moveon.org rallies the idiots to start posting about "astroturfing" only the kool aid drinkers are fooled into thinking there is some sage "reality" where such groups are not doing things for the left.

Seriously, it is just stupid to think that because it is planned by somebody that means that the people that participated are not part of a grass roots movement. If such were the case they'd have to pay their protesters like the left does. If such were the case it would also mean that there never was any movement that wasn't "astroturf" from the left because advocacy groups and "community organizers" planned those events as well....

It might make you feel better to think, "Look! They took Buses!" But so did many who protested at the RNC last year, it must have all been "fake" protest...

Many of them had signs. Painted on POSTER BOARD!!11! OMGZzerrrs!!!1111 The Paper Companies ARE RACIST111!!11`

The idea that grass roots movements don't organize is absurd on its face! WTF do they think a movement is made up of?

it was just before he was thrown under them......

I went to Cogressman Adam Smith's town hall event and 11 15 passenger vans, a small bus, and several cars arriving in tandem carrying pro Obama health care supporters were what brought them to the town hall. Not 1 van or bus brought the anti Obama care people. What was funny, in what I believe was an attempt to hide their "organizing", was that at about 2 hrs into the town hall a few would get up to leave and a small group would follow. This went on in about 10 minute intervals 'till they had all left. They arrived in the same fashion, though it was not as obvious since everyone was arriving at about the same time.

There's no doubt that pro-reform groups also organize transportation, coach their attendees, and provide materials.

The difference is in the disingenuous way the insurance lobby funds corporate lobbying firms like Freedomworks, who then attempt to pass them selves off as concerned citizens spontaneously banding together.

And pharmaceutical companies want a single payer option. Why? they like putting the power of government behind their poison cartel.

Just when I thought we were having a rational discussion, along comes AHZ.

How about "showcasing" some evidence to support your contention that pharmaceutical companies want a single-payer system?

What stupidity! That's why almost all signs that protesters carry are hand made as opposed to the ones paid for by Soro's sponsored grps and ACORN sponsored grps and Planned Parenthood grps. That's why people like me and those I know manage to drive ourselves to events. That's why the net is flooded by concerned citizens writing to one another. That a group like Freedom Works is ready to help is because they have been promoting smaller government for YEARS! They are just one of several groups willing to help citizens organize.

The reason this movement aligns with them;

Their agenda:

FreedomWorks calls the political changes that it supports the "Freedom Agenda". According to FreedomWorks, its six core issues are: Fundamental Tax Reform to scrap the federal tax code and make it simple, low, transparent, and flat; Social Security to include large Personal Retirement Accounts (PRAs) that individual workers own; Tort Reform to end lawsuit abuse; School Choice to increase parental control and competition in education; Economic Growth to push for pro-growth regulatory and trade policy changes; and Welfare Reform to emphasize work, personal responsibility, and greater access to capital.

LIKE DUH DUDE!

Freedomworks receives no funding from corporate clients whose interests are served by their activities?

If that's so, I withdraw my allegations unreservedly.

Are you saying they don't? I don't do busy work unless it results in making you look foolish

you must deny it explicitly first.

There weren't enough busses parked around the Mall to hold anywhere near the million + teabaggers the rightwingtards claimed were here last Saturday.

On that we agree.

Then your assertion was just partisan rhetoric, on your part.

Thanks for finally being honest.
