1st Amendment!

Have you started the campaign to start tearing down Congress and the Supreme Court buildings yet? How about the Lincoln Memorial? Those are public buildings that have the word God on them. Shouldn't we act now to destroy those buildings that our founders built?

Just because something has the word God in it does not mean it promotes or respects the establisment of religen.

However if it is a motto, it does. If its a part of a overall historical or otherwise artistic display, I dont think that means it necessarly promotes the establisment of religen.

And that is an opinion. I think we waste good money and energy that we could spend on more worthwhile issues that actually have something to do with a right that might be curtailed than worrying about a generic word in a motto that establishes or respects nothing at all.

It is a small point and I am not for spending money on it, but the money spent is not the point. It is my opinion that the "motto" is an attempt to promote monotheistic religens over non-religen or monothestic religens and thus an undertaking by Congress that is contrary to the first amendment.

I belive my point would be wonderfully illistrated by the outcry of monothestic religens were someone to propose the antithisis of the motto, either "In No God we Trust" or "In multable Gods we trust"!
