The EC was designed at a time of vast disparity in education and was designed to protect rich white land owners.
The EC is irrelevant today and only works to sew division.
The ec dictated who won the most recent presidential election, which means that it is actually VERY relevant. Hillary apparently didn't think it was relevant, as we can see with her lousy 232 votes. Trump understood the constitution, as we can see by his 306 oval office winning votes that put him in office. The constitution is very relevant to a huge chunk of American voters, even to this day.

Trump had no problem getting 306 oval office winning votes, so he ended up kicking Hillary's ass 306 to 232. Hillary couldn't even win an election that was rigged in her favor.

Yes, THE most extraordinary thing about the 2016 election WAS the fact that Killery DID somehow LOSE an election that was definitely rigged in her favor. Over 90% of the media was pushing for her, bigshot celebrities were supporting her, Google was in her pocket. She got AT LEAST three MILLION ILLEGAL votes, lots of DEAD people's votes and PRESIDENT Trump was constantly vilified in the press. And she STILL lost! Donald Trump was NOT supposed to win. That's the main reason why SO MANY have such blind hatred towards our duly elected president.
Trump knew nothing about the EC. He suddenly became an expert when it gave him an undeserved and unexpected victory. Trump knew nothing. He was not running to win. The EC put him in an office he is unqualified for. If one Dem won that way, the Repubs would have eliminated it.
it will take one Dem victory like that to change everything.

No, the EC is meant to give the States representation, instead of mob rule where the nine(??) most populous states control the entire country...
The Constitution as a whole was based off of the Biblical model of self governance, under God. The USA was meant to be a country where we were to govern ourselves, under the Constitution. We were NOT meant to be a country where we have a dictator or oligarchy ruling over us.
