Actually, the Constitution was based on the European Enlightenment. And the Bible doesn't say we should have self governance, rather the opposite. The Bible supports theocracy, not democracy. The closest thing to a real Biblical society was the Middle Ages when half of Europe was ruled by the Catholic church and the other half was ruled by the Eastern Orthodox church.
There were only 538 votes available, and trump won 306 of them. It only takes 270 to win, so Trump got MORE votes than the loser hillary.
