But Biden will be {In the minds of those that oppose him} That is the reason Presidents typically lose seats in mid term elections. A popular president like Obama lost 63 seats Biden will lose big.
A popular President like Trump lost 40 seats in 2018...oh wait...he wasn't popular in 2018.
So much for that working theory.
New York lost seats to Texas, and California also lost seat plus ~30 Democrats are retiring.
13 Republicans are also retiring in the House, all of them in swing districts, with 5 retiring in the Senate.
There is only 1 Democrat retiring in the Senate (Leahy), and that seat will go Democratic in November.
And most of those retiring Dems are in Biden +10 districts, not the same case for the Republicans.
You had better pray you are correct because he usually errs on the side of Democrats
Seems to me you have much more invested in this than I do, and the only thing you're leaning on is past precedent...but what you forget is that for every shellacking taken by Presidents in midterms, we only need look back 20 years to see the last time an incumbent President's party won seats in the House...2002. The 2022 elections are shaping up to be more 2002 than 2010.
Also, with all the Republicans you killed because you couldn't keep your big, fat mouth shut about COVID, from where are you making up those voters?
Because nearly 100% of the deaths from COVID between now and November will be Republicans who aren't vaccinated.
Can you party withstand losing half a million voters, most of whom are in those gerrymandered districts? Doubtful.
None of you turkeys showed up in GA in Jan 2021, so why would you show up in Nov 2022?
