60% of Americans disapprove of how Trump is handling the economy — a new high

On the campaign trail last year, then candidate Donald Trump repeatedly vowed to “bring prices down” and “end inflation” starting “on day one” of his presidency.

But one year later, a new Yahoo/YouGov poll shows that 60% of Americans now disapprove of how Trump is handling the economy.

Only 33% approve.

That is the president’s most negative economic approval rating to date.

Trump campaigned on eliminating inflation, but by his economical blundering he exacerbated the situation, so it's understandable why the voters are not happy.

This is the same poll I showed in another thread to be heavily skewed towards a predetermined conclusion.

This is the actual poll YouGov did.

Economically, 40% of those questioned made (self-reported) under $50K. Another 21% made over 100K. So, 71% of those polled were either working poor, poor, or well off / rich. When you look at the demographics in the poll, it's mostly college educated women who are being polled. The poll skews heavily towards those that are known to disagree with Republican economic choices and support a heavy-handed welfare state.

Your math is wrong. According to the numbers you wrote it's 61 percent, not 71 percent.

Your lack of ability to do basic arithmetic makes all your statements and conclusions suspect.

None of this matters. As we speak he's plotting to have the military show up on Election Day in key Blue districts. The overt voter denial/suppression is the plan, and it will work.

He got a small bump following the return of the hostages. That's evaporated already, esp. since the "Trump Peace Plan" failed miserably, as we predicted it would. Have you noticed the silence from MAGATWorld about that?

Inflation was over 3 percent last quarter. You will not know in the future because Trump killed the agencies that keep up with economic data. I guess we will have to trust what he says.

Although it's owned by a Reichwinger, when it comes to economic data we can pretty much trust the Wall Street Journal. Their readership consists of investors who demand accurate data. They'll continue to compile and publish stats like the inflation rate, unemployment, consumer confidence, and so on.

Being a Trump supporter means being constantly prepared to just forget about what Trump said or promised only weeks or months ago.
