$7.25 an hour is not a living wage (Well Duh?!!)

Minimum wage jobs allow people to acquire skills and experience. I'm for increasing it to somewhere around $11 - $13/hour, but it shouldn't be a "living wage," as the whole point of entry-level positions is to allow inexperienced workers to expand their skills and receive promotions accordingly.

When I was a kid, fast-food jobs were viewed as jobs for teenagers or beginners’ jobs. It is a testament to just how bad the economy under Obama is that these are now considered not only career moves, but worth fighting, dying and being fired for. My how things have changed.

Shows how little you know about politics. You have no clue why Industrial jobs left America. You would also have no about the fight to keep industrial jobs in America.

You realize that the people that work at places like this now are former Industrial workers (R)ight little brain? You do realize that we became a nation of prosperity from the Industrial Revolution correct?...........who am I kidding, you just hate Obama little brain political child.

Most don't. They DO however, adjust prices to maintain similar profit margins. If cost of labor goes up, cost of goods must go up as well. Additionally, non-minimum wage jobs will like also demand more money, because their skilled pay is in part based against the unskilled pay of minimum wage jobs. Or, a third possibility, is that minimum wage businesses simply demand more skills for the same job (or they'll modernize). McDonalds, for example, would probably want someone with a college degree or maintanence experience to work on the equipment for $13 an hour. So your unskilled labor will be unskilled homless/jobless.

In short, fuck a mandated wage.

hmmmm have you thought about the FACT that we as a country LIVED without one at one point.

tell us all how well that worked out and WHY a minimum was established?

If it is not the "living wage" argument; what is the point of arbitrarily increasing the minimum wage law?

Why even have minimum wage laws when the markets indicate that most businesses pay more anyway?

I did a fact check on this and it pegged the bullshit meter. Where do you come up with this moronic nonsense? Do you get all your talking points from Unions?

You define stupid.

DC is raising their min to 11.50 from 8.25.
20 states have a higher min than federal
Cali is going to 10 in 2016
The sky didn't fall
Chicken little economic knowledge

That is why if the minimum wage is changed it should be done on a state level, not federal. Cost of living is also higher in DC/Cali/NY etc... funny how that works.

Regardless, changing the minimum wage is just a feel food for liberals. It doesn't change the plight of the 'poor'. They may make more money, but that simply leads to them paying more for goods and services. Deliberately inflating wages doesn't change purchasing power. It simply gives more dollars to the poor and lowers the amount a dollar can buy.

It worked just fine. I am amused by leftists who defend minimum wage laws while ranting ignorant about wage inequality. The irony eludes them. Minimum wage laws have done NOTHING over the decades to change the lives of anyone who works for them nor has it made a dent in income inequality they love to meme.

Yet here we are again watching these same brain dead leftists argue that increasing the minimum wage THIS time will have a profound effect.

Liberals define the old adage that one is retarded when one keeps doing what one has always done expecting different outcomes. Yes folks, Liberals really are THAT incredibly dumb and ignorant.

Here’s a few questions for dimwitted leftists who think they care more for everyone than anyone else on the planet:

(1) Why do you think we have ATMs at banks now?
(2) Why do you think we have automated ticket kiosks at airports now?
(3) Why do you think some fast food restaurants are testing self-serve kiosks?
(4) Why do most auto manufacturers use robotic assembly plants these days?

The answers to these questions are painfully obvious.

You dimwits don't give a shit about the working man; you merely want to puff your chests out and claim you care more while supporting a failed leftist ideology that does NOTHING for the working man and merely attempts to make EVERYONE equally miserable.

Dumbasses.

Inconvenient facts just bounce off of dimwitted Liberals who are only in the game to make themselves feel good about caring so much.
