Yes it does; it decrease opportunity for first time job seekers, high school teens and college level students. In addition, it results in lower employment due to automation that becomes more economically feasible as the costs of doing business are arbitrarily increased.

Hey Stupid Freak, the minimum wage is done at the state level and the federal level, the federal level is the minimum but any state can raise it higher if their cost of living is higher or if they simply want to raise it. Some states have a minimum wage closer to $10 an hour while states in the South would rather not even be required to pay anything like the $7.25 an hout bare minimum.

Sorry to inform you but purchasing power has already been eroded, in fact, it is repeatedly shown that the minimum wage has not kept up with inflation and its purchasing power is far less than it was when last raised. So both or your arguments are stupid and fallacious. I guess that is why they call you Stupid Freak isn't it?
