The First Amendment is largely inconsequential. It only protects you from government censorship. If most of the media favors a certain direction of censorship, then the First Amendment can't help you.
What we're learning from the monopolies and oligopolies of media is that free speech vs. the government is only half of the big picture. If the majority of the media wants to censor you or push a given narrative, then it makes the concept of free speech a joke.
In short, the Democrats don't have to use government to censor you. That's too blatant and requires too much work. All they have to do is get their friends in media to do it. They will deplatform you and counter whatever you say with a barrage of material supporting their narrative.
Media manufactures both consent and dissent, so the will of the people is somewhat artificial and a product of groupthink rather than an organic response. It even makes democracy somewhat laughable.

Yes. And there is a lot of money in it. But to be fair, this isn't really a left-right thing so much as an elitist thing.

Actually the propaganda is that media is doing the job for Democrats.
If you can't see it, I don't know what to tell you. It doesn't really matter though. The lack of vote security in our system as compared to any other First World nation means that the media doesn't even have to get involved. Fabricating votes is pretty easy when the odds of getting caught are virtually nonexistent.

Believe me I've been trying to see it. If anybody "sees" it, it would have been already investigated. Like the claim about all the 24k votes are for Biden.

For me, it's not specifically this election that changed things. What's happening now is just the latest step of a slow descent.
Herman and Chomsky had a lot to say about media influence in the book "Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media." Up until the last decade or so, some of the fiercest critics of the media were on the left, but the social left has been hijacked by corporate media, and thus, we see how Democrats are quite chummy with neocons, corporations, and media conglomerates. The observations Chomsky has made over the years hold just as true now as they did back then, but it's just more prominent among the Democrats than the Republicans now.
