Exactly what I have been saying, if he does not get them to continue those portions that are for those less than 250K it would go badly for the Ds. If they ignore this to pass some unpopular health reform as well it will go very badly for the Ds.Here is a comprehensive look at what he promised:
http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/taxes/Factsheet_Tax_Plan_FINAL.pdf
He would only repeal those parts of the Bush cuts that apply to the $250K + bracket.
There are plenty of other statements out there; his pledge is definitely to the $250K & less group, not to raise their taxes at all, either proactively or by letting the Bush cuts lapse.
It's semantics. Is the individual tax bill being reduced? Yes.
USAToday called it a tax cut. So did everyone else. Here's one righties can't even dispute:

Like I said, it doesn't matter. The pledge stands. Americans under $250K will either stay at the same level, or be paying LESS taxes under Obama.
If he breaks that pledge, then he deserves the negative consequences of that.
I don't mind paying more, but I am one of those strange ducks that wants my children and grandchildren to have a good future!
Maybe you can explain to me how giving someone who doesn't make enough money to pay income taxes $8 per week is a tax cut?
Onceler a tax credit is a handout, not a tax cut. This is about credit vs. cut, not "is" vs. is.
It's a simple question, and the answer explains why it is not a tax cut, but a handout.Oh...are those the only individuals to which it applies?
I'm tired of getting pulled into your stupid. That'll do...

Its reduced by a handout.So...no working people who pay income tax are seeing that tax reduced?
Is that what you are asserting here?

And whats preventing you from paying more ?
Nothing ?.....thats what I conclude too....
or maybe you just a ordinary liberal hypocrite....

I suggest you repeat that into the microphone at any Town Hall audience. LOLIf there's anything we can glean from this healthcare debate, it's that most of the conservatives on this site are clinically retarded and happy living in ignorance. In fact, they go out of their way to make it happen.
I think most people would also believe that we could eliminate all of the waste in DC and come up with better plans that actually REDUCE costs. That INCREASE efficiency. Etc...
edit...Sorry Mott... looks like wacko already posted something similar... no need to readdress...
