There is no evidence for the story that the kid mistakenly went to the wrong house. The lawyers made that up. This was an attempted burglary. The black "victim" has collected $3.4 million so far.

nov 28 2024 An 86-year-old white man accused of shooting a Black teenager who mistakenly rang the wrong home's doorbell in Kansas City is set to face a jury trial.

A Missouri judge ruled Tuesday that Andrew Lester is fit for trial for the 2023 shooting of Ralph Yarl, then 16. In an affidavit in September, Lester faces two felony counts of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Through a GoFundMe, his family raised over $3.4 million to help with his medical bills and therapy, including for a traumatic brain injury
On April 13, 2023, Yarl, a high school junior, went to pick up his younger twin brothers from their friend's house. He mistakenly rang the wrong doorbell.

Yarl told police he pressed the doorbell and waited outside the front door. The person inside took a long time to respond but opened the door holding a firearm. Yarl said he didn’t pull on the door, and it was his first time coming to the home. No words were exchanged between the two. Lester shot through the glass door, hitting Yarl in the forehead and right arm, according to police records.

So let me understand this, he was going to pickup his brother, but there is no evidence his brother even exists? That should be an easy case then. Somehow I think you are lying.

break into house...

This was an attempted burglary.
The kid rang the front door bell. That is not breaking into the house, nor attempted burglary.

I looked into the kid's background. Was an honor student with a good GPA. Interest in science and wanted to go to Texas A&M. No past criminal history or history of gang involvement.

Yes, he has a brother. This is on the old guy answering the door with a gun and firing through it on the kid without provocation.

Blacks have as much right to ring a doorbell as anyone else.

You know I have the opinion that Officer Byrd should have been charged with a felony for that and fired, but that's for a different thread.

The homeowner overreacted. with a firearm. Same with Officer Byrd. Who's getting charged with a crime? Who should?

A homeowner isn't a professional and trained in the use of force. A police officer is. Byrd was a Lieutenant on the Capitol Police force. He had years of training, and those years obviously didn't sink in. He had a history of being a fuck up too.

Byrd deserved to be charged far more than some idiot homeowner.

Yes, a police officer should be trained on when to use deadly force.
One officer, of many, fired one round into a crowd of people.

The homeowner shot someone for ringing his boor bell.

Yeah, homeowner should be hammered, Byrd should be hammered harder.

The kid was ringing a doorbell, completely legal. The terrorist was attacking a vital function of government, and refusing to follow orders of law enforcement.

There are 32 credible citations on the Wiki page. As usual, every word of TDAK's post is a lie. He opened his one millionth untrue thread to demonstrate his boundless racial hatred.

Not if they don't want to get shot by an ancient, white racist! At least this 86-year-old had terrible aim and wasn't able to kill the victim with 2 shots at point blank range.

You are so full of shit it isn't funny. The immediate circumstances dictate use of force in federal law enforcement. Babbitt was unarmed and climbing through a window. We can see Byrd's gun and hands in video, even if he, himself, isn't visible. He does NOTHING to try and get her attention or use less that lethal force.

He shoots her once, even though she poses no immediate threat to life or property.

Then, the most egregious part, he flees the scene. Explain that part away. What police officer shoots and kills a suspect then leaves the scene?

Byrd should have been charged with manslaughter and misuse of a firearm, leaving the scene of a shooting, along with violation of his own department's use of force rules.
